François Ravard
François Ravard (born April 26, 1957) is a French record and film producer. Early life François Ravard was born on April 26, 1957. His parents are Nadine Milhet and Jacques Ravard. His father, member of the production team of a performance of '' The Bald Soprano'' (a play by Ionesco), took him backstage as a child. His vocation sprang from that event. In 1975, at the Lycée Edgar-Poe, Ravard met Olivier Caudron - aka Olive - who introduced him to Jean-Louis Aubert. The three of them became friends and shared an apartment the year after, located on avenue Frémiet, in Paris. The Bald Soprano
''La Cantatrice chauve '' – translated from French as ''The Bald Soprano'' or ''The Bald Prima Donna'' – is the first play written by Romanian-French playwright Eugène Ionesco. Nicolas Bataille directed the premiere on 11 May 1950 at the Théâtre des Noctambules, Paris. Since 1957 it has been in permanent showing at the Théâtre de la Huchette, which received a ''Molière d'honneur'' for its performances. It holds the world record for the play that has been staged continuously in the same theatre for the longest time. Although it went unnoticed at first, the play was eventually championed by a few established writers and critics and, in the end, won critical acclaim. By the 1960s, ''The Bald Soprano'' had already been recognized as a modern classic and an important seminal work in the Theatre of the Absurd. Laurent Boutonnat
Laurent Boutonnat (born 14 June 1961) is a French composer and film and music video director, best known as the songwriting partner of Mylène Farmer and the director of several groundbreaking music videos. Career Born in Paris, Laurent Boutonnat directed his first film, ''Ballade de la Féconductrice'', at age 17, while the film itself is rated 18. It would later be screened off competition at the Festival de Cannes. The movie contains multiple graphic elements that would characterize Boutonnat's provocative style. In 1984, having composed a song called "Maman a tort" with Jérôme Dahan which required a female singer, they started auditioning, and Mylène Farmer, a young student in acting, showed up. Billy Corgan
William Patrick Corgan Jr. (born March 17, 1967) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and professional wrestling promoter. He is best known as the lead singer, primary songwriter, guitarist, and only permanent member of the rock band the Smashing Pumpkins. He is currently the owner and promoter of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Blur (band)
Blur are an English rock band formed in London in 1988. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. Their debut album, ''Leisure'' (1991), incorporated the sounds of Madchester and shoegazing. ''Kissin Time'' is the 16th studio album by British singer Marianne Faithfull. Overview After turns as a neo-cabaret/slow ballad crooner in previous works (represented by her 1990s works with Hal Willner, Angelo Badalamenti and the interpretation of Brecht/ Weill standards), Faithfull was eager to collaborate with contemporary musicians. She co-wrote almost all the songs, and worked with several notable musicians who produced the tracks. ''Vagabond Ways'' is the 15th studio album by British singer Marianne Faithfull. This is her first album of original material since ''A Secret Life'' (1994). This work, produced by Daniel Lanois and Mark Howard, is a balladry-like extension of her then neo-cabaret persona, interpreting songs by herself and legendary songwriters of her generation, like Pink Floyd's Roger Waters, Leonard Cohen and the songwriting duo Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Many of the stories told on this album were adapted from memories that didn't make her autobiography or her observations of social struggles she felt particularly moved by. "Incarceration of a Flower Child" was written by Roger Waters in 1968, and has never been recorded in any format by Pink Floyd. ''The Black Rider: The Casting of the Magic Bullets'' is a self-billed "musical fable" in the avant-garde tradition created through the collaboration of theatre director Robert Wilson, musician Tom Waits, and writer William S. Burroughs. Wilson, in the original production, was largely responsible for the design and direction. Burroughs wrote the book, while Waits wrote the music and most of the lyrics.
