François Ortalo-Magné
François Ortalo-Magné is a UK-based European academic. He became the dean of the London Business School in August 2017, succeeding Andrew Likierman. Early life François Ortalo-Magné graduated from the École d'ingénieurs de Purpan, where he earned a master's degree in 1990. He went on to earn a PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota in 1995. Career Ortalo-Magné was a professor of economics at the London School of Economics until 2001. He was the Robert E. Wangard Professor of Real Estate and the chair of the Department of Real Estate and Urban Economics at the Wisconsin School of Business from 2001 to 2011, when he became its Albert O. Nicholas dean. Ortalo-Magné became dean of the London Business School in August 2017. Ortalo-Magné is an expert in urban economics. It is one of the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse schools. The American Economic Review
The ''American Economic Review'' is a monthly peer-reviewed academic journal published by the American Economic Association. First published in 1911, it is considered one of the most prestigious and highly distinguished journals in the field of economics. The current editor-in-chief is Esther Duflo, an economic professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The journal is based in Pittsburgh. In 2004, the ''American Economic Review'' began requiring "data and code sufficient to permit replication" of a paper's results, which is then posted on the journal's website. Exceptions are made for proprietary data. Until 2017, the May issue of the ''American Economic Review'', titled the ''Papers and Proceedings'' issue, featured the papers presented at the American Economic Association's annual meeting that January.
