François Civil (; born 29 January 1990) is a French actor. He has appeared in both French and English-language feature films and is known for his roles in ''Frank'' (2014), ''As Above, So Below'' (2014), ''Call My Agent!'' 2019 Cannes Film Festival
The 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival took place from 14 to 25 May 2019. Mexican filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu served as jury president. The Palme d'Or went to the South Korean film ''Parasite'', directed by Bong Joon-ho; Bong became the first Korean director to win the award. Laurent Tirard (born 18 February 1967) is a French film director and screenwriter. Life and career Laurent Tirard grew up admiring American films, such as those by Steven Spielberg. He studied film making at New York University, worked as a script reader for Warner Bros. studios, then became a journalist and worked for the French film magazine ''Studio'' for six years. There, he conducted a series of interviews on film making which have been published as a book under the title ''Moviemakers' Master Class: Private Lessons from the World's Foremost Directors.''
