Franziska Steffen
Franziska Steffen (born August 25, 1981) is an Indonesian-born Swiss freestyle skier, specializing in ski cross and a former alpine skier. Steffen competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics for Switzerland. She placed 29th in the qualifying round in ski cross, to advance to the knockout stages. She failed to finish her first round heat, and did not advance. Saas-Fee
Saas-Fee () is the main village in the Saastal, or the Saas Valley, and is a municipality in the district of Visp in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Kreischberg
Kreischberg is an Austrian ski resort in Styria, Austria. The area includes the adjacent Rosenkranzhöhe and offers 40 kilometres of slopes altogether. In December 2013, Kreischberg was considered the first 10-seater gondola in Styria. In recent years the resort has been awarded multiple times for its high quality slopes. Les Contamines-Montjoie () is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. Etymology The original name of the village, ''Les Contamines,'' is from the word ''contamines'', which in the ancient local dialect meant ploughable land on the estate of the squire. Ski cross is a skiing competition which incorporates terrain features traditionally found in freestyle skiing with courses which include big-air jumps and high-banked turns. In spite of the fact that it is a timed racing event, it is often considered a type of freestyle skiing. What sets ski cross apart from other alpine skiing disciplines is that it involves more than one skier racing down the course. Any intentional contact with other competitors like grabbing or any other forms of contact meant to give the competitor an advantage leads to disqualification.
