Franz Fuchs
Franz Fuchs (12 December 1949 – 26 February 2000) was an Austrian domestic terrorist who killed four people and injured 15, some seriously, using three improvised explosive devices and 24 mail bombs, which he sent in five waves between 1993 and 1997. Criminal psychologists characterized Fuchs as a highly intelligent but socially inept loner. He targeted people he considered to be foreigners, or organizations and individuals whom he believed were "friendly to foreigners". According to a study, Franz Fuchs inspired Pekka Eric-Auvien to kill 8 of his classmates during the Jokela school shooting in Finland in 2007. Mailbomb
A letter bomb, also called parcel bomb, mail bomb, package bomb, note bomb, message bomb, gift bomb, present bomb, delivery bomb, surprise bomb, postal bomb, or post bomb, is an explosive device sent via the postal service, and designed with the intention to injure or kill the recipient when opened. They have been used in terrorist attacks such as those of the Unabomber. Some countries have agencies whose duties include the interdiction of letter bombs and the investigation of letter bombings. Johanna Dohnal (14 February 1939 - 20 February 2010) was an Austrian politician and the first Austrian Minister for Women. Personal life Dohnal was born in Vienna on 14 February 1939 to a single mother. On 22 January 2010 she entered into a civil partnership with her long-standing partner Annemarie Aufreiter. Wolfgang is a German male given name traditionally popular in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Terezija Stoisits (; born 14 November 1958 in Stinatz, Austria) is an Austrian politician of the Green Party. She served as an ombudswoman of the Republic of Austria 2007–2013. Before that she was the longest serving member of parliament of her party. Education and profession Stoisits went to high school in Güssing and concluded her maturity exam in 1977. Madeleine Petrovic (; born 25 June 1956) is an Austrian politician. From 1994 to 1996 she was federal spokesperson of the Austrian Green Party. She attended Austrian gymnasium which she finished 1974, and studied law at the University of Vienna, finishing in 1978. She then studied management science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, finishing in 1982. She received an additional diploma as certified interpreter for English and French. After working as assistant and lector at the university, she was employed by the Ministry of Social Affairs. Helmut Zilk
Helmut Zilk (9 June 1927, Vienna – 24 October 2008, Vienna) was an Austrian journalist and politician in the Austrian Social Democratic Party. He served as mayor of Vienna between 1984 and 1994. Biography Born in Vienna, Zilk was Mayor of Vienna from 1984 to 1994. In December 1993 he was severely injured when he opened a letter bomb which had been sent to his home in Innere Stadt by Franz Fuchs. Zilk died on 24 October 2008 of heart failure, after arriving home sick from a vacation in Portugal. He was married to Austrian musical star, Dagmar Koller.
