Frantz Yvelin
Frantz Yvelin is a French businessman, pilot, and serial entrepreneur. He was the President (corporate title), President of Aigle Azur, France's 2nd largest airline until August 26, 2019. Frantz Yvelin previously created and ran two French independent scheduled Airlines, (La Compagnie and L'Avion). Early life and education A Commercial pilot license, commercial pilot since the age of 21, Yvelin is type-rated on Airbus A320, Boeing 737, Boeing 757, Boeing 767, Cessna Citation and McDonnell Douglas MD80. Career Yvelin started his career as an IT consultant (for GFI Informatique, CS Communication & Systèmes). In 2006 he founded and ran Europe's first all-Business-Class airline, L'Avion, before selling it to British Airways. (In 2009, L'Avion became OpenSkies and has since operated under that brand). The Mastère Spécialisé, also called the Specialized Master or Advanced Master is a French post-graduate specialization degree created in 1986 by the French Conférence des Grandes Écoles. It is a full-time, one-year program (75 ECTS) which includes formal teaching (in French or English), an internship, and the preparation of an individual thesis. It is usually aimed at young professionals who already have a master's degree, but would like either to specialise or expand their knowledge and experience in a domain where the private sector has identified a real need. In 2008-2009, 418 Mastères Spécialisés were offered by the 90 Grandes écoles which are part of the " Conférence des Grandes Écoles".
