František Tikal
František Tikal (18 July 1933 – 10 August 2008) was a Czechoslovak ice hockey defenseman. He played 17 seasons in the Czechoslovak Extraliga for HC Sparta Praha and won two national titles. Internationally he played 59 games for Czechoslovakia, including 15 at the 1960 and 1964 Winter Olympics, and earned an Olympic bronze medal in 1964, placing fourth in 1960. He was named the best defender of the tournament at the 1964 Olympics and 1965 World Championships. At the 1960 Games he played one game against his brother Zdeněk Zdeněk is a Czech given name derived from the Latin name Sidonius. contested the relation with the Latin name, and an alternative etymology is a diminutive of Zdeslav.Jan Svoboda, Staročeská osobní jména se základem sd , sdě-, :Onomast ..., who fled to Australia in 1948. Včelná
Včelná is a municipality and village in České Budějovice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,300 inhabitants. Geography Včelná is located about south of České Budějovice. It lies on the border between the České Budějovice Basin and Gratzen Foothills. The highest point is at above sea level. IIHF Hall Of Fame Inductees
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; french: Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace; german: Internationale Eishockey-Föderation) is a worldwide governing body for ice hockey. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland, and has 83 member countries. The IIHF maintains the IIHF World Ranking based on international ice hockey tournaments.
