Franklin Session
Franklin "Frank Nitty" Session (born January 23, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Al-Gharafa of the Qatari Basketball League. He is best known for his performance in the Drew League, where he won four consecutive league MVPs. He also plays, since the 2019 season, in the 3x3 basketball league Big3 for the team Killer 3's where he is a co-captain. Early life Session grew up in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles and attended Jordan High School. Originally interested in skateboarding, he did not play basketball for Jordan until his junior year when the team's head coach, Van Myers, noticed his raw athleticism. Watts, Los Angeles
Watts is a neighborhood in southern Los Angeles, California. It is located within the South Los Angeles region, bordering the cities of Lynwood, Huntington Park and South Gate to the east and southeast, respectively, and the unincorporated community of Willowbrook to the south. Founded in the late nineteenth century as a ranching community, the arrival of the railroads and the construction of Watts Station saw the rapid development of Watts as an independent city, but in 1926 it was consolidated with Los Angeles. Big3 (stylized BIG3) is a 3-on-3 basketball league founded by hip hop musician and actor Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz. 2019 Big3 Season
The 2019 BIG3 season was the third season of BIG3. The regular season began on June 22, 2019 and ended on August 17, 2019. The playoffs began on August 25, 2019 and concluded with the championship game on September 1, 2019. On January 11, 2019, the BIG3 announced that they would expand to 12 teams for the upcoming season, and move to two nights (consisting of three games each) per week. The league will also play in 18 cities, and allow players as young as 27 to compete in the league.
