''Frankenstein 90'' is a 1984 French comedy film directed, produced and written by Alain Jessua. The film stars Jean Rochefort and Eddy Mitchell. Release The film was released in France on VHS in 1995. Reception '' Variety'' stated that Alain Jessua and Paul Gégauff "manages some facile but amiable comic situations" but that "Jessua gropes unsuccessfully for the right macabre-satiric tone." Alain Jessua (16 January 1932 – 30 November 2017) was a French film director and screenwriter. He directed ten films between 1956 and 1997. He worked as assistant director for Jacques Becker on the set of ''Casque d'or'', with Max Ophüls for '' Madame de...'' and ''Lola Montès'' and with Marcel Carné on ''Wasteland''. ''Léon la lune'' his first short film won the influential Prix Jean Vigo in 1957. He directed first feature film in 1963 ''La vie à l'envers'' that won Best First Film at Venice Film Festival, in 1964. His 1967 film '' Jeu de massacre'' was entered into the 1967 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Screenplay. His 1979 film '' The Dogs'' was entered into the 11th Moscow International Film Festival. Paul Gégauff
Paul Gégauff (10 August 1922 – 24 December 1983) was a French screenwriter, actor, and director. He collaborated with director Claude Chabrol on 14 films. Among his films are ''Les Biches'', ''Plein Soleil'' and the autobiographical '' Une Partie de Plaisir''. In 1962, he and René Clement received an Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America as the screenwriters for ''Plein Soleil'', which was named Best Foreign Language Film. His first marriage to film producer and actress Danièle Gégauff ended in divorce. They had a daughter actress and singer, Clémence Gégauff. He died after being stabbed by his second wife, Coco Ducados, on Christmas Eve 1983. Chabrol once said of Gégauff: "When I want cruelty, I go off and look for Gégauff. Jean Raoul Robert Rochefort (; 29 April 1930 – 9 October 2017) was a French actor. He received many accolades during his career, including an Honorary César in 1999. Life and career Rochefort was born on 29 April 1930 in Paris, France, to Breton parents. He was educated at the '' Lycée Pierre Corneille'' in Rouen. Rochefort was nineteen years old when he entered the ''Centre d'Art Dramatique de la rue Blanche''. Later he joined the '' Conservatoire National''. After completing his national service in 1953, he worked with the ''Compagnie Grenier Hussenot'' as a theatre actor for seven years. Eddy Mitchell
Claude Moine (; born 3 July 1942), known professionally as Eddy Mitchell, is a French singer and actor. He began his career in the late 1950s, with the group Les Chaussettes Noires (The Black Socks). He took the name ''Eddy'' from the American expatriate tough-guy actor Eddie Constantine (later the star of Jean-Luc Godard's '' Alphaville''), and chose ''Mitchell'' as his last name simply because it sounds American. The band performed at the Parisian nightclub Golf-Drouot before signing to Barclay Records and finding almost instant success; in 1961 it sold two million records. Heavily influenced by American rock and roll, Mitchell (who went solo in 1963) has often recorded outside France, at first in London, but later in Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee. Armando Trovajoli (also Trovaioli, 2 September 1917 – 28 February 2013) was an Italian film composer and pianist with over 300 credits as composer and/or conductor, many of them jazz scores for exploitation films of the Commedia all'italiana genre. He collaborated with Vittorio De Sica on a number of projects, including one segment of ''Boccaccio '70''. William Lubtchansky (26 October 1937 – 4 May 2010) was a French cinematographer. Biography Lubtchansky's first film was Agnès Varda's 1965 short, ''Elsa la Rose''. He shot over 100 films, including several for Jean-Luc Godard, Jacques Rivette, Jean Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet and Nadine Trintignant. He has also worked with Philippe Garrel, François Truffaut, Marcel Camus and Peter Brook (for the 1989 6-hour version of ''The Mahabharata'').
