Frank Reginald Wilson (28 May 1885 – 19 September 1916) was a New Zealand rugby union player who represented his country in 1910. Wilson was educated at Ponsonby School and then Auckland Grammar School, where he was a member of the 1st XV in 1900. A wing three-quarter, Wilson represented at a provincial level. He was called into the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, to tour Australia in 1910 because of Donald Cameron's withdrawal. He played a game against Wellington before he departed for Australia where he scored his only points for the All Blacks. He played in the first game in Australia but received an injury and did not appear again. An all-round sportsman, Wilson was considered one of Auckland's fastest sprinters. He also captained the Ponsonby Cricket Club, as well as being a well-known swimmer and tennis player. Frank Wilson III (born November 5, 1973) is an American football coach. He is the associate head coach and running backs coach at Louisiana State University (LSU). Wilson served as the head football coach at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) from 2016 to 2019 and McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana from 2020 to 2021. Frank Wilson (1890–1928) was an American professional baseball umpire. He worked in Major League Baseball umpire from 1921 to his death in 1928, serving stints in both the American and National Leagues. Early career He began playing professional baseball as a catcher in the old Class C South Atlantic League ("Sally League") in 1911, but had to give up playing early in that season due to an arm injury. He then umpired college baseball games, before moving up to the then-Class AA Western League. In 1921, Wilson was appointed as an American League umpire by Ban Johnson. Two years later, in 1923, he became a National League umpire. Francis Ormond Wilson (born 1946) is a retired New Zealand diplomat. During his career, he served as head of mission in Moscow, Santiago, and Hong Kong. Early life and family Wilson was born in 1946, the son of politician, farmer and author Ormond Wilson and his second wife, author Rosamond Rolleston. He was educated at Christ's College in Christchurch from 1960 to 1964, and completed a Master of Arts degree in the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London in 1970. Career Wilson joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1971, and remained in the public service until his retirement in 2006.
