Frank Simoes
Frank Simoes (1937–2002) was an Indian writer and pioneering advertising executive who was the first Indian to set up his own advertising agency. He initially worked for advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather before setting up his own company; his campaigns included work for Only Vimal, Raymonds, Taj Hotels, Liberty Shirts, and BOAC. He quit advertising while still successful in the 1970s. He sold his firm, and moved to Goa to become a writer. BOAC
British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) was the British state-owned airline created in 1939 by the merger of Imperial Airways and British Airways Ltd. It continued operating overseas services throughout World War II. After the passing of the Civil Aviation Act 1946, European and South American services passed to two further state-owned airlines, British European Airways (BEA) and British South American Airways (BSAA).
