Frank Serafine
Frank Serafine ( – September 12, 2018) was an American motion picture sound designer, sound editor, and composer. He is best known for his work as a sound editor and sound designer on films including the ''Star Trek'' and ''Tron'' series, ''The Addams Family'', ''The Fog'', '' Poltergeist II: The Other Side'', ''Robot Jox'', ''Ice Pirates'', '' Hoodwinked 2'', ''Orgazmo'', ''The Lawnmower Man'', ''Virtuosity'', and ''Field of Dreams.'' He won an Emmy Award for Sound Design on ''The Day After'' (1983) and an Academy Award for Best Sound for ''The Hunt for Red October'' (1990). Palmdale is a city in northern Los Angeles County in the U.S. state of California. The city lies in the Antelope Valley region of Southern California. Tana Mana
''Tana Mana'' is an album by Indian musician Ravi Shankar, originally credited to "the Ravi Shankar Project" and released in 1987. The album is an experimental work by Shankar, mixing traditional instrumentation with 1980s electronic music and sampling technology. Shankar recorded much of ''Tana Mana'' in 1983 with sound effects innovator Frank Serafine, but it remained unreleased until Peter Baumann, head of new age record label Private Music, became attached to the project. The album title translates to mean "body and mind". In addition to his familiar instrument, the sitar, Shankar plays synthesizer extensively on the recording. Ravi Shankar (; born Robindro Shaunkor Chowdhury, sometimes spelled as Rabindra Shankar Chowdhury; 7 April 1920 – 11 December 2012) was an Indian sitarist and composer. A sitar virtuoso, he became the world's best-known export of North Indian classical music in the second half of the 20th century, and influenced many musicians in India and throughout the world. Donald Eugene Cherry (November 18, 1936 – October 19, 1995) was an American jazz trumpeter. Cherry had a long association with free jazz saxophonist Ornette Coleman, which began in the late 1950s. He also performed alongside musicians such as John Coltrane, Charlie Haden, Sun Ra, Ed Blackwell, the New York Contemporary Five, and Albert Ayler. Robben Lee Ford (born December 16, 1951) is an American blues, jazz, and rock guitarist. He was a member of the L.A. Express and Yellowjackets and has collaborated with Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, George Harrison, Larry Carlton, Rick Springfield, Little Feat and Kiss.
