Frank Otto (October 7, 1936 – July 26, 2017) was an American educator, pioneer in computer-assisted language learning (CALL), entrepreneur, and the founding executive director of CALICO (the Computer-Assisted Language Instruction Consortium).Bush, Michael D. Otto Frank (21 June 1865 – 12 November 1944) was a German born doctor and physiologist who made contributions to cardiac physiology and cardiology. The Frank–Starling law of the heart is named after him and Ernest Starling. Family and early life (Friedrich Wilhelm Ferdinand) Otto Frank was born in Groß-Umstadt and was the son of Georg Frank (1838–1907), a doctor of medicine and a practicing physician, and Mathilde Lindenborn (1841–1906). Otto Frank was married to Theres Schuster in a Catholic wedding in Munich. Training and Work Otto Frank studied medicine in Munich and Kiel between 1884 and 1889 (approbation in Munich 1889). During 1889 to 1891 he undertook training in mathematics, chemistry, physics, anatomy and zoology in Heidelberg, Glasgow, Munich and Straßburg. Otto Frank
Otto Heinrich Frank (12 May 1889 – 19 August 1980) was a German businessman who later became a resident of the Netherlands and Switzerland. He was the father of Anne and Margot Frank and husband of Edith Frank, and was the sole member of his family to survive the Holocaust. He inherited Anne's manuscripts after her death, arranged for the publication of her diary as "Het Achterhuis" in 1947 (known in English as ''The Diary of a Young Girl''), and oversaw its adaptation to both theater and film. Early life Otto Heinrich Frank was born into a liberal Jewish family. He was the second of four children born to Alice Betty (née Stern, 1865–1953) and Michael Frank (1851–1909).
