Frank Mottek
Frank Mottek is an American broadcast journalist known as “The Voice of Business News in Los Angeles” for his business reports on radio and television stations in Los Angeles, and hosting business news shows including "Mottek On Money." His broadcasts and podcasts have provided business, consumer and financial news to millions in the Greater Los Angeles area. Mottek also serves as moderator and master of ceremonies at business events and conferences. He is also known for his reporting and anchoring on TV stations KCAL-TV, KCBS-TV and KTLA in Los Angeles as well as the ''Nightly Business Report'' on PBS. KABC (AM)
KABC (790 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Los Angeles, California, and serving the Greater Los Angeles area. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and broadcasts a talk radio format. The studios are located in the Los Angeles suburb of Culver City. The transmitter is off West Martin Luther King Boulevard in the Crenshaw District, shared with KWKW (1330 AM) and KFOX (1650 AM). KABC is powered at 6,600 watts by day and 7,900 watts at night, using a directional antenna. KABC is the flagship station of the USC Trojans football and men's basketball radio networks. Hurricane Andrew
Hurricane Andrew was a very powerful and destructive Category 5 Atlantic hurricane that struck the Bahamas, Florida, and Louisiana in August 1992. It is the most destructive hurricane to ever hit Florida in terms of structures damaged or destroyed, and remained the costliest in financial terms until Hurricane Irma surpassed it 25 years later. Paul Kangas
Paul Henry Kangas (April 14, 1937 – February 28, 2017) was the Miami-based co-anchor of the PBS television program ''Nightly Business Report'', a role he held from 1979, when the show was a local PBS program in Miami, through December 31, 2009. He was known for signing off each NBR broadcast with "I'm Paul Kangas, wishing all of you the best of good buys" (a pun on "the best of goodbyes").
