Frank McEachren
Colonel Frank Flavelle McEachren (6 June 1918 – 31 March 1995) was a Canadian Army officer and businessman. He served as chief aide-de-camp to six Lieutenant Governors of Ontario. Early life and education McEachren was born on 6 June 1918 in Surrey, England, to Lieutenant Colonel Frank Yeigh McEachren (1889–1957) and Clara Ellsworth Flavelle (1890–1966). His maternal grandfather was businessman Sir Joseph Flavelle, 1st Bt., the last Canadian to be granted a baronetage. He had one younger sister, June McEachren Barrett (1922–1997). His parents divorced in 1939. He was educated at St. Andrew's College before attending Trinity College at the University of Toronto, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1940. Peterborough ( ) is a city on the Otonabee River in Ontario, Canada, about 125 kilometres (78 miles) northeast of Toronto. Lakefield College School (sometimes called LCS, The Grove or simply Lakefield) is a private day and boarding school located north of the village of Lakefield, Ontario. It was the first Canadian member of Round Square, an international affiliation of schools. John Black Aird
John Black Aird (May 5, 1923 – May 6, 1995) was a Canadian lawyer, corporate director and political figure. He served in the Senate of Canada from 1964 to 1974, and he was Lieutenant Governor of Ontario from 1980 to 1985. Life and career Aird was born in Toronto, Ontario, and was the grandson of Sir John Aird, a prominent Canadian banker. Pauline Mills McGibbon
Pauline Mills McGibbon (21 October 1910 – 14 December 2001) served as the 22nd Lieutenant Governor of Ontario from 1974 to 1980. In addition to being the first woman to occupy that position, she was also the first woman to serve as a viceregal representative in Canadian history. Once described as 'Ontario’s Eve' for all her 'first woman' achievements, the Honourable Pauline McGibbon dedicated her life to the betterment of her community, province and nation. William Ross Macdonald
William Ross Macdonald (December 25, 1891 – May 28, 1976), served as the 21st Lieutenant Governor of Ontario from 1968 to 1974, and as 22nd Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada from 1949 to 1953. Early life Macdonald was born in Toronto, Ontario, to a dry goods merchant who had immigrated from Scotland. He went on to study law at the University of Toronto and the Osgoode Hall Law School. William Earl Rowe
William Earl Rowe, (May 13, 1894 – February 9, 1984), was a politician in Ontario, Canada. He served as the 20th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario from 1963 to 1968. Background Rowe was born in Hull, Iowa, United States, of Canadian parents in 1894. He moved to Ontario with his family at the age of two and grew up to become a farmer and cattle breeder.
