Frank Little (unionist)
Franklin Henry Little (1879 – August 1, 1917), commonly known as Frank Little, was an American labor leader who was murdered in Butte, Montana. Although no one was apprehended or prosecuted for Little's murder, many people have speculated about it. He joined the Industrial Workers of the World in 1905, organizing miners, lumberjacks, and oil field workers. He was a member of the union's Executive Board when he was murdered. Early life According to Arnold Stead, Franklin Henry Little was born in Indian Territory in 1879 to Dr. Walter R. and Almira Hays Little. He was part Quaker and part Cherokee. His parents homesteaded in the 1889 Oklahoma Land Rush, later suffering drought and penurious conditions after the Panic of 1893. After Frank's father's death in 1899, he followed his miner brother Walter Frederick Little to California where he too became a miner. Frank Little (bishop)
Sir Thomas Francis LittleCommonly known as "Sir Frank" as in this story here KBE (30 November 1925 – 7 April 2008) was an Australian bishop. He was the sixth Roman Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne. He was appointed by Pope Paul VI on 1 July 1974 and retired in 1996; he was succeeded by the Most Reverend George Pell (as he was styled at the time). On retirement he was styled Archbishop Emeritus in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse found that Little had led a culture of secrecy in the Melbourne archdiocese designed to hide complaints against several priests and protect the church's reputation from scandal. Frank Little (né Francis Easterly Little, on March 22, 1936; died on February 22, 2006) was an operatic lyric tenor and educator. Born in Greeneville, Tennessee, in the Smoky Mountains, he matriculated at East Tennessee State University, Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and Northwestern University. Little's official debut was as Normanno in ''Lucia di Lammermoor'', in 1970, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, his first of many appearances with that theatre, including the world premiere of Penderecki's ''Paradise Lost'' (as Michael), in 1978, which was seen at the Teatro alla Scala the following year. He also gave a private, command performance for Pope John Paul II. With the Metropolitan Opera, the tenor debuted as Narraboth in ''Salome'', opposite Maralin Niska, conducted by Erich Leinsdorf, in 1977. The Littles
''The Littles'' is a series of children's novels by American author John Peterson, the first of which was published in 1967. Sixteen years later, Peterson's books were adapted into ''The Littles'', an animated series by DIC Entertainment. The television show ran on ABC Saturday mornings from September 10, 1983 to November 2, 1985 for three seasons and 29 episodes. In 1985, DiC released an animated feature film spun off the series titled ''Here Come the Littles''. Similar to Mary Norton's earlier novel ''The Borrowers'', ''The Littles'' features a family of tiny, intelligent humanoid creatures with mouse-like features (the Littles) who live in a house owned by the Bigg family.
