Frank L. Anderson
Frank L. Anderson (born January 19, 1957) is an American animator, director, author, and musician. Anderson was born on Basilan Island and raised in Zamboanga City and Manila, the Philippines. At the age of 11, he moved to the town of Deerfield, Wisconsin with his family. By the age of 17, he was a musician playing pedal steel guitar in bars and beer halls around Wisconsin. In 1978, Anderson moved to San Francisco and worked as a West Coast musician for country western performers such as Rose Maddox. As a session musician in the 1990s for producer Butch Vig's Smart Studios, he played accordion and pedal steel guitar on recordings for grunge and punk rock bands such as Killdozer (band) ("Twelve Point Buck", 1991) and Paw (band) (Dragline, 1994). He has worked as a commercial Director/Animator since 1986. Basilan Island
Basilan, officially the Province of Basilan ( cbk, Provincia de Basilan; yka, Wilayah Basilanin; tsg, Wilaya' sin Basilan; fil, Lalawigan ng Basilan), is an island province of the Philippines located primarily in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region. Basilan Island is the largest and northernmost of the major islands of the Sulu Archipelago. It is just off the southern coast of the geographic Zamboanga Peninsula. Isabela, the former capital, is a component city under the provincial government of Basilan but is administered as part of the Zamboanga Peninsula Region and is listed statistically independent. It is based on the mythical creature that feeds on the unborn in Philippine folklore, with the screenplay written following a story telling session by Frank L. Anderson, who was a friend of the filmmakers. The movie was written by amateur directors Wyre Martin and Barry Poltermann and shot with a low budget, while actors were paid just $50 a day with the expectation they would receive a cut of any future profit. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Although the name "Rotten Tomatoes" connects to the practice of audiences throwing rotten tomatoes in disapproval of a poor stage performance, the original inspiration comes from a scene featuring tomatoes in the Canadian film ''Léolo'' (1992). Since January 2010, Rotten Tomatoes has been owned by Flixster, which was in turn acquired by Warner Bros in 2011.
