Frank Kenneth Radloff
Frank Kenneth Radloff (December 9, 1916 – May 15, 1995) was a merchant and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Nipawin from 1964 to 1971 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Liberal. He was born in Star City, Saskatchewan and was educated there. In 1938, Radloff married Inez Nygaard. He was president of Servu Stores Limited. Radloff served as mayor of the town of Nipawin from 1953 to 1963 and from 1974 to 1985, and was a member of the local school board from 1942 to 1952. He ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the provincial assembly in 1960 before being elected in 1964. Radloff was defeated by John Comer John Comer (1 March 1924 – 11 February 1984) was a British comic actor. Nipawin (provincial Electoral District)
Nipawin was a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. This district was created before the 9th Saskatchewan general election in 1938 as "Torch River", after the rural municipality and the river that flows through it. Redrawn and renamed "Nipawin" in 1952, the constituency was dissolved before the 23rd Saskatchewan general election in 1995. It is now part of the constituencies of Carrot River Valley and Saskatchewan Rivers. Legislative Assembly Of Saskatchewan
The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King in Right of Saskatchewan. The assembly meets at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina. There are 61 constituencies in the province, which elect members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to the Legislative Assembly. All are single-member districts, though the cities of Regina, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw were in the past represented through multi-member districts, with members elected through Block Voting. The Saskatchewan Liberal Party is a liberal political party in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The party was the provincial affiliate of the Liberal Party of Canada until 2009. Nipawin, Saskatchewan
Nipawin () is a town in Saskatchewan, Canada, on the Saskatchewan River portion of Tobin Lake. The town lies between Codette Lake, created by the Francois-Finlay Dam (built in 1986) and Tobin Lake, created by the E.B. Campbell Dam built in 1963, renamed from Squaw Rapids. The construction of Francois-Finlay Dam earned Nipawin the nickname the "Town of Two Lakes". Nipawin is bordered by the Rural Municipality of Nipawin No. 487 and the Rural Municipality of Torch River No. 488 (the latter across the Saskatchewan River). Highway 35 and Highway 55 intersect in Nipawin. The Nipawin Airport and the Nipawin Water Aerodrome also serve the community.
