Frank Hogan (footballer)
Frank Hogan (born 28 October 1936) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Hogan played 14 Melbourne Premier Cricket first eleven games with South Melbourne. Hogan played with West Adelaide Football Club from 1960 to 1962, playing in two SANFL grand finals, with a premiership in 1961. He played 58 games and kicked 120 goals in his three years with West Adelaide. Hogan also played first eleven cricket with the Adelaide Cricket Club in 1960. Hogan coached Tatura Football Club in 1963, then played in two consecutive Ovens and Murray Football League premierships for Wangaratta Rovers Football Club, in 1964 and 1965, coached Beechworth Football Club in 1966, then coached Redan Football Club to runners up in the Ballarat Football League in 1967. Kevin Hogan (footballer, Born 1934)
Kevin Hogan (6 October 1934 – 5 November 2019) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Sydney Swans, South Melbourne in the Australian Football League, Victorian Football League (VFL). Hogan initially played with Benalla Football Club, Benalla "Colts" / Thirds in 1949 in the Benalla & District Football League, then played with Violet Town, making his senior football debut in 1950 as a 15 year old in the Benalla Tungamah Football League. He continued to play with Violet Town until 1953, including their 1952 Benalla Tungamah Football League grand final loss to Benalla, prior to playing with South Melbourne. Hogan was hailed as one of the VFL recruits of the year in 1954! He later played, coached and was on the committee of the Sale Football Club. He also was a journalist for the Gippsland Times and worked for ABC Local Radio in Gippsland for over 50 years. Wangaratta Rovers Football Club
The Wangaratta Rovers, officially known as the Wangaratta Rovers Football & Netball Club, is an Australian rules football club based in Wangaratta, Victoria and play in the Ovens & Murray Football League. Their nickname is the Hawks. Their home ground is W.J. Findlay Oval in Wangaratta. Their playing guernsey consists of gold and brown stripes on the front and gold on the back. History Wangaratta Rovers were initially formed in 1923 and competed in the Ovens and King Football League (O&KFL) from 1923 to 1929. Pat Hogan (9 November 1930 – 17 August 2017) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Sydney Swans, South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (1897–1989), Victorian Football League (VFL). The Ballarat Football League (BFL) is an Australian rules football competition that operates in the Ballarat region of Victoria, Australia. The competition formed in 1893 as the Ballarat Football Association and was renamed Ballarat Football League in 1908 and was briefly known as the Ballarat-Wimmera Football League between 1934 and 1936. The Redan Football Netball Club (nicknamed the ''Lions'') is an Australian rules football and netball club located in the city of Ballarat, Victoria. The football team currently competes in the Ballarat Football League. Redan has a history of 59 Premierships including 11 Senior Football Premierships and was named the Victorian Country Football League Most Disciplined Club in 2004 & 2005. Beechworth is a well-preserved historical town located in the north-east of Victoria, Australia, famous for its major growth during the gold rush days of the mid-1850s.
