Frank Fleming (racing Driver)
Frank Fleming (born July 25, 1959) is an American stock car racing driver. Fleming previously competed in the NASCAR Busch Series and the NASCAR Southern Modified Tour. Currently, he competes in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Fleming competed in 10 NASCAR Busch Series races between 1988 and 1991. During the 1990 season, Fleming's crew chief was former NASCAR driver Chip Lain. His best career Busch Series finish was a 20th at Daytona International Speedway in 1990. Fleming competed in a total of 106 NASCAR Southern Modified Tour races between 2005 and 2015. During this span, Fleming achieved 66 top tens, 1 pole position, and 1 win. Mount Airy is a city in Surry County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 10,611. The Galaxy Food Centers 300 was a NASCAR Busch Series stock car race held at Hickory Motor Speedway, a paved oval track located in Hickory, North Carolina. Orange County Speedway is a 3/8 mile (0.6 km) asphalt oval in Orange County, North Carolina, near Rougemont. It first opened in 1966 as 1/4 mile (0.4 km) and 5/8 mile (1 km) dirt oval (Trico Speedway), which operated until 1967 and 1973, respectively. The facility was reopened and paved in 1983. With a slogan of "the fastest 3/8-mile race track in America," the oval features 19-degree banking through the turns and 16 degrees on the straightaways, creating three distinct grooves making for very fast turns. The A-GAME 200 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series stock car race that takes place during the spring at Dover Motor Speedway. History The race was broadcast in the United States on ESPN until 2015, when the race moved to Fox. In 2016, the race was moved to the second week of May because of the NASCAR All-Star Race, and was 200 laps in total with two 40 lap heats and 120 lap main as part of the Xfinity 'Dash 4 Cash' program. In 2017, the race would not use the heat races and would utilize NASCAR's new stage format with stages 1 and 2 being 60 laps each, with last stage being the final 80 laps. The 2020 race was originally scheduled for May 2 before being postponed to August 22 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Alsco Uniforms 300 is an annual 300-mile (482.803 km) NASCAR Xfinity Series race held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina during Memorial Day weekend as a support race for the Coca-Cola 600. The race's origins trace back to 1978, when a it was a NASCAR Late Model Sportsman Series race was held the day before the World 600. In 1982 it became a Busch Series race. The race celebrated its 40th running in 2018, and is considered one of the more popular races on the Xfinity Series schedule. From its inception through 2004, the race was scheduled for Saturday afternoon. In 1985 only, it was held the same day as The Winston. The BellSouth Mobility 320 was a NASCAR Busch Series stock car race held at Nashville Speedway USA, in Nashville, Tennessee. Debuting as a 200 lap race of , it was originally held only during the 1984 season. The event returned the schedule in 1988, and again in 1989, after which it was removed a second time. The race returned to the Busch circuit yet again in 1995, this time the race distance being extended from 200 to 320 laps, now covering in distance. Busch 200 (South Boston)
South Boston Speedway, or "SoBo", is a short track located just outside South Boston, Virginia. SoBo is located approximately east of another area familiar to most NASCAR fans, Martinsville. It is owned by Mattco, Inc., the Mattioli family trust that owns Pocono Raceway, with general manager Chase Brashears operating the track, replacing Cathy Rice who retired in 2021 after serving in that role for 21 years. NASCAR's three national series have raced at the track, though the Cup Series has not done so since 1971, while the Busch Series last raced here in 2000. After the Busch Series left the schedule, the Craftsman Truck Series competed at SoBo for a few years between 2001 and 2003. The SRX Series visited the track in 2022. The Cheddar's 300 was a NASCAR Xfinity Series stock car race at Bristol Motor Speedway, the first of two Bristol races on the schedule. The first Busch Series race at Bristol was 150 laps, and was won by Phil Parsons in 1982. The race was not held in 1984. The race increased in length several times since then: it was lengthened to 200 laps in 1985, 250 laps in 1990, and 300 laps in 2006. In 2016, the race format was changed to include two 50-lap heat races and a 200-lap feature for a total of 300 laps, as part of the Xfinity Dash 4 Cash program. In 2017 that format did not return and instead reverted to its 300-lap distance with the new stage format. Stages 1 and 2 were 85 laps each, with stage 3 being the final 130 laps.
