Francis Fleming
Sir Francis Fleming (31 July 1842 – 4 December 1922) ( Chinese: 菲林明) was a British administrator who held appointments in eleven colonies. The son of James Fleming (1812–1887), Q.C. of Dorset Square and Julia Matilda (1811–1875) daughter of Major John Canning (1775–1824) and niece of Francis Canning (1769–1831) of Foxcote Warwick. He attended Downside School near Bath, studied law at the Middle Temple, and became a barrister in 1866. Three years later, from 28 April 1869, he became acting District and Stipendiary Magistrate in Mauritius earning £700 per annum, successively followed by Crown Solicitor (from 15 April 1872), acting District and Stipendiary Magistrate in Savanne (2 November 1872), acting District and Stipendiary Magistrate, and Poor Law Guardian in Flacq (1 March 1873), District and Stipendiary Magistrate in Black River (1 January 1874), and acting District and Stipendiary Magistrate in Moka. Francis Joseph Fleming (born 21 December 1945) was an English footballer who played in the Football League for Darlington as a goalkeeper. Fleming was born in South Shields in 1945. He joined Darlington in July 1964, and made two senior appearances, both in the Fourth Division as a stand-in for regular goalkeeper Jimmy O'Neill. Frank Fleming (July 5, 1919 – July 22, 1989), sometimes spelled "Flemming" and nicknamed "Boonie", was an American Negro league pitcher in the 1940s. A native of Morganton, North Carolina, Fleming played for the Cleveland Buckeyes The Cleveland Buckeyes were a Negro league baseball team that played from 1942 to 1950 in the Negro American League. The Buckeyes played in two Negro World Series, defeating the Washington Homestead Grays in 1945, and losing to the New York Cuba ... in 1946. Frank Richard Fleming (December 11, 1953 – March 6, 2022) was an American politician who served as a member of the Montana House of Representatives from the 51st district. He was appointed to the House on January 30, 2018, succeeding Adam Rosendale. Early life and education Fleming was born in Great Falls, Montana, on December 11, 1953, and graduated from Great Falls High School in 1972. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and political science and a Master of Education with an emphasis in public administration from Montana State University Billings, then known as Eastern Montana College. Frank Fleming (born July 25, 1959) is an American stock car racing driver. Fleming previously competed in the NASCAR Busch Series and the NASCAR Southern Modified Tour. Currently, he competes in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Fleming competed in 10 NASCAR Busch Series races between 1988 and 1991. During the 1990 season, Fleming's crew chief was former NASCAR driver Chip Lain. His best career Busch Series finish was a 20th at Daytona International Speedway in 1990.
