Frank Drago Reserve
Frank Drago Reserve is a sports reserve in Bayswater, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is home to the Bayswater City Soccer Club, Bayswater Bowls and Recreation Club, Bayswater Croquet Club and Bayswater Tennis Club. Clubs and facilities Frank Drago Reserve is home to the Bayswater City Soccer Club, which competes in the National Premier Leagues Western Australia, Bayswater Bowls and Recreation Club, Bayswater Croquet Club and Bayswater Tennis Club. Facilities for soccer are two main pitches, used for games, and two small pitches, used for training. The Gerry Maio stand overlooks these pitches. On the southern side of the reserve, on Murray Street, is the facilities for tennis, croquet and lawn bowls. The tennis club has clay courts, hard courts and grass courts, as well as a clubroom. Bayswater is a suburb north-east of the central business district (CBD) of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. It is just north of the Swan River, within the City of Bayswater local government area. It is predominantly a low-density residential suburb consisting of single-family detached homes. However, there are several clusters of commercial buildings, most notably in the suburb's town centre, around the intersection of Whatley Crescent and King William Street and a light industrial area in the suburb's east. Prior to European settlement, the Mooro group of the Whadjuk Noongar people inhabited the area. The City of Bayswater is a local government area in the Western Australian capital city of Perth, about northeast of Perth's central business district. The City covers an area of and has a population of 69,283 as at the 2021 Census. The City of Bayswater is a member of the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council. Bayswater City Soccer Club is a soccer club based in Bayswater, Western Australia. They currently compete in the National Premier Leagues Western Australia. History The club in its current form was formed as a result of a merger in 1980 between Lathlain Meazza (formed 1973) and Rosemount Juventus (formed 1978) becoming Rosemount Meazza. The National Premier Leagues Western Australia is a regional Australian semi-professional soccer league comprising teams from Western Australia. James Brebber
James Brebber (14 October 1849 – 30 January 1936) was an Australian politician who served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 1905 to 1908, representing the seat of North Perth. Brebber was born in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, to Katherine (née Grant) and George Forbes Brebber. He lived in Glasgow and London for periods, working as a builder, before emigrating to Western Australia in 1887. Brebber moved to Victoria the following year, but eventually returned to Western Australia in 1893, where he became a real estate agent in Perth. Perth Oval, currently branded HBF Park (under a sponsorship agreement with HBF Health Fund) and called Perth Rectangular Stadium for international football matches, is a sports stadium in Perth, the capital of the Australian state of Western Australia. Located close to Perth's central business district, the stadium currently has a maximum capacity of 20,500 people for sporting events and 25,000 people for concerts, with the ground's record attendance of 32,000 people set during an Ed Sheeran concert in 2015.
