Doyle Community Park is an urban park on the eastern edge of downtown Santa Rosa, California. The western end of the park is the confluence of Matanzas Creek and Spring Creek. Spring Creek forms the northern park boundary and Matanzas Creek forms the southern park boundary. The eastern end of the park is a fenced and lighted baseball field formerly used by the minor league Santa Rosa Pirates. The remainder of the park includes the Doyle Park Clubhouse, restrooms, playground slides and swings, horseshoe pits, separate fenced areas for unleashed large and small dogs, and picnic tables with barbecue grills including five sites available for reservation. A paved trail follows the shaded riparian woodland of mature oaks, maples, and California bay laurel trees along Spring Creek and Matanzas Creek from the Doyle Park Clubhouse on Hoen Avenue to the footbridge over Matanzas Creek across Vallejo Street from Brook Hill School. Frank Doyle (writer)
Frank Doyle (November 17, 1917, in Brooklyn, New York - April 3, 1996, in New Port Richey, Florida) was the head writer for Archie Comics for over thirty years. He wrote over 10,000 stories featuring the Archie characters. Artist Dan DeCarlo referred to Doyle as "the best". Doyle, one of several ''Archie'' contributors who studied art at the Pratt Institute, was originally a penciller for Fiction House comics, working on such titles as ''Planet Stories''.Duin, Steve and Richardson, Mike. Frank Doyle (politician)
Francis Edward Doyle (17 June 1922 – 13 March 1984) was an Australian politician. He was a member of the Australian House of Representatives from 1972 to 1974, representing the electorate of Lilley. Doyle was born in Oakey, Queensland. He worked as a train driver across regional Queensland and was Queensland state secretary of the Australian Federated Union of Locomotive Enginemen from 1958 to 1972. He was also a member of the state executive of the Labor Party. Doyle was an unsuccessful nominee for Labor Senate preselection in 1967 and was the unsuccessful Labor candidate for Lilley at the 1969 federal election, topping the primary votes but losing on Democratic Labor Party preferences. He was elected to the House of Representatives at the 1972 federal election, defeating sitting Lilley MP and former minister Kevin Cairns by only 35 votes. Frank Doyle (born September 8, 1980) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Doyle spent his career in the North American leagues before moving to Europe to play. He last played with the Sheffield Steelers in 2015. Playing career Born in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, Doyle played two seasons with the University of Maine before turning professional in 2004–05 with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. He played in the ECHL All-Star Game that season, and was named Most Valuable Player of the game. He also played in one game with the Utah Grizzlies of the AHL in 2004–05. He was signed as a free agent by New Jersey on August 15, 2005, and joined their former AHL affiliate, the Albany River Rats, in 2005–06.
