Frank Crapper
Francis Gerald Crapper (22 May 1911 – 8 February 1991) was an Australian rules footballer who played with North Melbourne Football Club, North Melbourne in the Australian Football League, Victorian Football League (VFL). Crapper was a prolific full-forward for Eaglehawk Football Club, Eaglehawk in the Bendigo Football League (BFL), who had two stints at North Melbourne. Two brothers, Fred Crapper, Fred and Harry Crapper, Harry, played briefly at Richmond Football Club, Richmond and Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne respectively. He had come to the attention of North Melbourne scouts in 1930 when he became the first player in history to kick over 100 goals in a BFL season. Crapper was then signed by North Melbourne but would only play three games for them in 1931 VFL season, 1931 before returning to Eaglehawk. 1935 VFL Season
The 1935 VFL season was the 39th season of the Victorian Football League (VFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Victoria. The season featured twelve clubs, ran from 27 April until 5 October, and comprised an 18-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top four clubs. The premiership was won by the Collingwood Football Club for the tenth time, after it defeated by 20 points in the 1935 VFL Grand Final. Premiership season In 1935, the VFL competition consisted of twelve teams of 18 on-the-field players each, plus one substitute player, known as the 19th man. A player could be substituted for any reason; however, once substituted, a player could not return to the field of play under any circumstances. Eaglehawk Football Club Players
The wedge-tailed eagle (''Aquila audax'') is the largest bird of prey in the continent of Australia. It is also found in southern New Guinea to the north and is distributed as far south as the state of Tasmania. Western Bulldogs
The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football team that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition.
