Frank Campeau
Frank Campeau (December 14, 1864 – November 5, 1943) was an American actor. He appeared in more than 90 films between 1911 and 1940 and made many appearances in films starring Douglas Fairbanks. On Broadway, Campeau appeared in ''Rio Grande'' (1916), ''Believe Me Xantippe'' (1913), ''The Ghost Breaker'' (1913), and ''The Virginian'' (1904). Campeau's screen debut came in the one-reel western film ''Kit Carson's Wooing''. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, and died in the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. ''He Comes Up Smiling'' is a 1918 American comedy film produced by and starring Douglas Fairbanks and directed by Allan Dwan. This film was based on a novel of the same title by Charles Sherman, which was adapted into a 1914 play of the same name by Byron Ongley and Emil Nyitray. Fairbanks starred in the play with Patricia Collinge as the female lead. This film "survives incomplete". ''For Those We Love'' is a 1921 American silent romantic drama film produced by and starring Betty Compson, and featuring Lon Chaney and Richard Rosson. Written and directed by Arthur Rosson, the film was based on a story by Perley Poore Sheehan (who later co-wrote the script for Chaney's ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame''. The film was distributed by Goldwyn Pictures. Some sources list the release date as being in March 1921.
