Frank Blew
Frank William Elford Blew (1902–1968) was a Welsh association football, footballer who played as either a Defender (association football)#Full-back, left-back or Forward (association football), centre-forward for Wrexham A.F.C., Wrexham and Llandudno F.C., Llandudno in the 1920s. Blew also played for the Wales Amateur team. His father was Horace Blew, also a footballer who played at full-back for Wrexham, Manchester United F.C., Manchester United, Manchester City F.C., Manchester City and the Wales national football team, Welsh national team. Born in Wrexham, Blew began his career with his local club, Wrexham A.F.C., Wrexham in 1921. He made five appearances in his first season, scoring one goal, before moving on to Llandudno F.C., Llandudno in 1922. He returned to Wrexham a year later, but made seven appearances before going back to Llandudno in 1924. Wrexham
Wrexham ( ; cy, Wrecsam; ) is a city and the administrative centre of Wrexham County Borough in Wales. It is located between the Welsh mountains and the lower Dee Valley, near the border with Cheshire in England. Historically in the county of Denbighshire, and later the county of Clwyd in 1974, it has been the principal settlement of Wrexham County Borough since 1996. Arfon Griffiths
Arfon Trevor Griffiths MBE (born 23 August 1941) is a Welsh former football player and manager. During his playing career which lasted from 1959 to 1979, Griffiths played at both professional and international levels, before becoming a football manager. Career Born in Wrexham, Griffiths was originally spotted in local junior football by former Wrexham player Frank Blew, who then alerted the club's manager Cliff Lloyd. He initially signed Griffiths on amateur forms in May 1957, as the youngster turned down offers of trials from both Liverpool and Sheffield Wednesday.
