Frank Bergemann
Frank Bergemann (born 20 April 1956) is a German handball coach. Career Bergemann coached the clubs HG Erlangen and CSG Erlangen before moving to Austria in 2000 to join Alpla HC Hard. In 2003, he won the Austrian championship with Hard and was voted Coach of the Year. From 2007 until his dismissal in March 2015 he coached HC Erlangen, with whom he rose to the second Bundesliga in 2008 and to the first Bundesliga in 2014. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. Alpla HC Hard
Alpla HC Hard is a handball club from Hard, Austria. They currently compete in the Handball Liga Austria. History In 1986, the handball division was separated from the ATSV Hard club, and subsequently the independent club HC 86 Hard was founded. Under the guidance of coach Zoltán Balogh, HC Hard reached the Austrian top flight in the 1997/98 season. In the 2002/03 season, HC Hard won the Austrian Championship for the first time under the guidance of coach Frank Bergemann. In the 2004/05 season, the club won its first victory in the Austrian Cup. The club moved to its new home in the Sporthalle am See in 2005. The club won the championship 7 times in total (2003, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2021), the cup 4 times (2005, 2008, 2014, 2018) and the Super Cup 5 times (2012, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021). HC Erlangen is a handball club from Erlangen, Germany. They currently compete in the Handball-Bundesliga. History In the 2000/2001 season, both HG Erlangen and CSG Erlangen played in the 2. The Handball-Bundesliga (HBL) is the top German professional handball league. From 2007 onwards, the league was sponsored by Toyota and has officially been called the ''Toyota Handball-Bundesliga''. HBW Balingen-Weilstetten is a handball club from the city of Balingen, Germany, though they occasionally play in Stuttgart. The team currently plays in the 2. Handball-Bundesliga, Germany's second highest handball division. History The club was established from the merger in 2002 of the handball sections of TSG Balingen and TV Weilstetten. This merger was quickly beneficial as HBW Balingen-Weilstetten finished first in the regional championship (Regionalliga) and were promoted to 2. Handball-Bundesliga.
