Francis Pollet
Francis Pollet (born 5 May 1964 at Roubaix), is a French professor and General officer. From March 2017 to the 30th of June 2022, he is the director-general of the ''Institut polytechnique des sciences avancées'' (French private aerospace university). Biography Graduate from the École de l'air (promotion 1985), Francis Pollet started his career as a fighter pilot and cargo pilot where he performed more than 100 missions. Then, he became pilot for the French government and more specifically for the Prime Minister Lionel Jospin and the President Jacques Chirac on Dassault Falcon 900 and Airbus Corporate Jet. After that, he has done a 15-year career in human resources and operational activities. National Defence Medal
The National Defence Medal (french: "Médaille de la Défense nationale") is a French military decoration. It was created by Charles Hernu, Minister of Defence and established by decree on 21 April 1982. It rewards particularly honourable service rendered by military personnel for their participation in operational activities. The medal has three levels: Gold, Silver and Bronze. It is awarded to both military personnel and civilians for outstanding accomplishments related to the field of aeronautics. Ivry-sur-Seine () is a commune in the Val-de-Marne department in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located from the centre of Paris. Paris's main Asian district, the Quartier Asiatique in the 13th arrondissement, borders the commune and now extends into the northern parts of Ivry.
