Francis Nielsen
Francis Nielsen is a French director of animated films, known mostly for his films ''Blackie & Kanuto'', ''Émilie Jolie'' and '' Le Chien, le Géneral et les Oiseaux''. Biography Nielsen was born and raised in the mountainous region of Lake Annecy in eastern France. He began his career as a puppeteer presenting shows in local schools. After a varied career, he joined the animation studio Idéfix (created by Rene Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, creators of the French comic and animated film series ''Asterix''). He began his career at Idéfix as the First Assistant Director of '' Les 12 Travaux D'Asterix'' and ''La Ballade des Dalton''. Annecy, France
Annecy ( , ; frp, Èneci or ) is the prefecture and largest city of the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of Southeastern France. It lies on the northern tip of Lake Annecy, south of Geneva, Switzerland. Nicknamed the "Pearl of French Alps" in Raoul Blanchard's monograph describing its location between lake and mountains, the city controls the northern entrance to the lake gorge. Tonino Guerra
Antonio "Tonino" Guerra (16 March 1920 – 21 March 2012) was an Italian poet, writer and screenwriter who collaborated with some of the most prominent film directors in the world. Life and work Guerra was born in Santarcangelo di Romagna. According to his obituary in ''The Guardian'', Guerra first started writing poetry when interned in a prison camp in Germany, after being rounded up at the age of 22 with other antifascists from Santarcangelo. At 30 he moved to Rome and worked as a schoolteacher. During this time he met Elio Petri, the future director of ''Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion'' (1970), who worked as assistant to Giuseppe De Santis. ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). Boris Solotareff
Boris Solotareff (October 23, 1889 – July 1966) was a Russian painter. He was active in Munich, Switzerland, and France, but spent the majority of his career in New York where he became a naturalized American citizen in 1949. Solotareff made use of a variety of styles; according to the ''Benezit Dictionary of Artists'', his "work was in the mainstream of Eastern European Expressionism, with influences of Art Deco from the time when he lived in Paris." Maurilio Manara (; born 12 September 1945), known professionally as Milo Manara, is an Italian comic book writer and artist. Career After architecture and painting studies, he made his comics debut in 1969 drawing for ''Genius'', a Fumetti neri series of pocket books from publisher Furio Vanio in the wake of the popularity of '' Kriminal'' and ''Satanik''. Gary Douglas Kurtz (July 27, 1940 – September 23, 2018) was an American film producer whose list of credits includes ''American Graffiti'' (1973), ''Star Wars'' (1977), ''The Empire Strikes Back'' (1980), ''The Dark Crystal'' (1982) and ''Return to Oz'' (1985).
