Francis J. Lynch (Texas Politician)
Francis J. Lynch (August 9, 1920 – May 31, 1993) was an American politician from Pennsylvania who served as a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania State Senate for the 2nd district from 1973 to 1993. Early life Lynch was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended the Roman Catholic School, Banks Business College and St. John's Night School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received during combat in France. The Pennsylvania House of Representatives is the lower house of the bicameral Pennsylvania General Assembly, the legislature of the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. There are 203 members, elected for two-year terms from single member districts. It is the largest full-time state legislature in the country. The Pennsylvania State Senate is the upper house of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, the Pennsylvania state legislature. The State Senate meets in the State Capitol building in Harrisburg. Senators are elected for four year terms, staggered every two years such that half of the seats are contested at each election. Even numbered seats and odd numbered seats are contested in separate election years. The president pro tempore of the Senate becomes the lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania in the event of the sitting lieutenant governor's removal, resignation or death. Wilkes University
Wilkes University is a private university in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It has over 2,200 undergraduates and over 2,200 graduate students (both full and part-time).
