Francesco Servino
Francesco Servino (Castellammare di Stabia, born May 8, 1984) is an Italian journalist and activist well known for his defense of Vesuvius National Park and archaeological sites in Vesuvian area. Activist since 2009, when he animated the protests of the citizens of Boscoreale and Terzigno against the opening of a mega landfill in the Vesuvius National Park (Cava Vitiello), he leads numerous environmental and cultural projects in the Vesuvius area, networking with local associations and national. Since 2018 he has chaired the Arcadia Social Promotion Association and in 2022 he founded the environmentalist civic movement "Terzigno Verde", which has the European Greens as a reference. He is the promoter of the Network of Green Associations and vice-president of the Spartacus Cultural Association of Ottaviano, with which he deals with the enhancement of the so-called minor archaeological sites of the Nolan and Vesuvian area. Castellammare Di Stabia
Castellammare di Stabia (; nap, Castiellammare 'e Stabbia) is a '' comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Naples, Campania region, in southern Italy. It is situated on the Bay of Naples about southeast of Naples, on the route to Sorrento. History Castellammare di Stabia lies next to the ancient Roman city of Stabiae, which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. The castle, of the city it takes its name from, was erected around the 9th century on a hill commanding the southern side of the Gulf of Naples. It was restored during the reign of Frederick II of Hohenstaufen and enlarged by King Charles I of Anjou. The comune, previously called ''Castellamare'', assumed the name ''Castellammare'' on 22 January 1863, and the current name on 31 May 1912. Vesuvius National Park ( it, Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio) is an Italian national park centered on the active volcano Vesuvius, southeast from Naples. The park was founded on June 5, 1995, and covers an area of around 135 square kilometers all located within the Province of Naples. It is centered on the active volcano and its most ancient (now inactive) crater, Monte Somma. It houses 612 vegetable species and 227 wildlife ones.
