Francesco Pionati
Francesco Pionati (born 15 July 1958 in Avellino), is an Italian politician and journalist. Son of Giovanni Pionati, former Mayor of Avellino, he went into the RAI television on direct reporting by Ciriaco De Mita and he started working on TG1. In 1987 he worked as parliamentary journalist and in the 2000s, under the direction of Clemente Mimun, He became vice-director of TG1. Pionati also worked for several newspapers, he has been part of the Film Commission's Ministerial Commission and in 2004 was appointed to the board of directors of Cinecittà Holding. However, Pionati resigned from this office for criticisms about his appointment. In the 2006 Italian general election he was candidate for the Senate with the Union of Christian and Centre Democrats, taking over the outgoing Salvatore Cuffaro. The Chamber of Deputies ( it, Camera dei deputati) is the lower house of the bicameral Italian Parliament (the other being the Senate of the Republic). The two houses together form a perfect bicameral system, meaning they perform identical functions, but do so separately. Pier Ferdinando Casini (; born 3 December 1955) is an Italian politician. He served as President of the Chamber of Deputies from 2001 to 2006. Casini is the honorary president of the Centrist Democrat International and the Inter-Parliamentary Union. From 1993 to 2001, he served as secretary of Christian Democratic Centre, while from 2002 until 2016 he was the leader of Union of the Centre. Being elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 1983 for the first time, Casini is the longest-serving member of the parliament in Italy. Early life and career Casini was born in Bologna in 1955. The Lazio regional election of 2013 took place in Lazio, Italy, on 24–25 February 2013. Renata Polverini of The People of Freedom (PdL), who was elected president in 2010, was toppled by an expense scandal in October 2012 which led to her resignation. A snap election was held in Italy on 13–14 April 2008. The election came after President Giorgio Napolitano dissolved the Italian Parliament on 6 February 2008, following the defeat of the government of Prime Minister Romano Prodi in a January 2008 Senate vote of confidence and the unsuccessful tentative appointment of Franco Marini with the aim to change the current electoral law.
