Francesco Federico Falco
Francesco Federico Falco (April 12, 1866 – August 11, 1944) was an Italian medical doctor, who fought for the Cuban War of Independence as coronel "commander of the Health Corp in the Liberation Army of Cuba". Biography Falco graduated from Medical school in Rome. Initially he was a follower of Giuseppe Mazzini and began his political activity in 1887 as a member of Mazzini's Republican Party. By the end of the year, he started to adopt a socialist position. As a journalist, he wrote in "L'Emancipazione di Roma" in 1888, and successively in "La Tribuna", "Il Messaggero", "La Scintilla" and "Il Popolo toscano". in April 1898, a group of 75 Italian volunteers the most important volunteers were Orestes Ferrara, Alfonso Cancellieri, Francesco Lenci, Ugo Ricciando and Francesco Pagliughi sailed to Cuba with some money obtained from subscription in Italy: their leader was colonel Francesco Federico Falco, who fought bravely under general Antonio Maceo and was named "commander" of ... Penne, Abruzzo
Penne (, ; ''Pònne'' in the local dialect) is an Italian town in the province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region, in mid-southern Italy. According to the last census in 2014 the population was 12,451. Roberto Gottardi (30 January 1927 – 21 August 2017) was an Italian-Cuban architect. Biography Gottardi graduated in architecture from the Istituto Superiore di Architettura di Venezia (Architecture Institute of Venice) in 1952, the same class as Massimo Vignelli. While there, one of the major influences on his formative style was his mentor Carlo Scarpa, whose craft approach to architecture refuted the tenets of Rationalism (architecture), Rationalist modernism. Gian Luigi Nespoli (1936–2007) was an Italian born Italian Cuban poet and writer. He was also a member of the communist party in Italy and Cuba. Biography Born in Varese, in the region of Lombardy (north of Italy), Nespoli has published in Italy, Germany and Cuba some twenty books of Poetry and stories, in addition to other works still unpublished. Rapallo
Rapallo ( , , ) is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Genoa, located in the Liguria region of northern Italy. As of 2017 it had 29,778 inhabitants. It lies on the Ligurian Sea coast, on the Tigullio Gulf, between Portofino and Chiavari, 25 kilometers east-south east of Genoa itself. The climate is moderate.
