Este, Veneto
Este () is a town and ''comune'' of the Province of Padua, in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It is situated at the foot of the Euganean Hills. Claudia Cretti
Claudia Cretti (born 24 May 1996) is an Italian professional racing cyclist. In 2017 she rode for the Italian Valcar-PBM team. During the 7th stage of the Giro Rosa, Cretti was seriously injured in a crash and was being kept in a medically induced coma. Later that month she was able to communicate. In November 2017 she did ride a bike for the first time. In February 2019 she announced to compete as a paracyclist. History In 1995 Australian Bill Mitchell, a keen cyclist and professor of economics at the University of Newcastle, created the website titled "Bill’s Cycling Racing Results and News" after finding there was a need for fast-breaking news and race results in English-speaking countries. In 1999 Sydney-based publishing company Knapp Communications purchased the website from Mitchell, and in July 2007 they sold it to British publisher Future plc for £2.2m. In July 2014 it was bought by Immediate Media Company, along with the print-only ''Procycling'' magazine. In February 2019, Immediate Media sold its cycling titles back to Future. Elisa Balsamo (born 27 February 1998) is an Italian road and track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's World Team , and represents Italy at international competitions. After competing at the 2015 UCI Road World Championships in the women's junior road race she became junior world champion at the 2016 UCI Road World Championships in the junior's road race. She won the gold medal at the 2016 UEC European Track Championships in the team pursuit. Early life Balsamo was born in Cuneo in 1998. Her father was an amateur cyclist. Before taking up cycling, she had competed in a number of skiing disciplines, as well as biathlon and swimming. Career Balsamo's first major win came at the 2016 UCI Road World Championships in Doha, where she won the Road Race in a bunch sprint ahead of Skylar Schneider. She signed for for the 2017 season. 2017–18 UCI Track Cycling World Cup
The 2017–18 UCI Track Cycling World Cup (also known as the Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup for sponsorship reasons) was a multi-race tournament over a track cycling season. It was the 26th series of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup organised by the UCI. The series was run from 3 November 2017 to 21 January 2018 and consisted of five rounds. Series On 11 May 2017 the UCI revealed the location and dates of the world cup meetings that took place in 2017. Four rounds took place in Pruszków, Poland, Manchester, Great Britain, Milton, Canada and Santiago, Chile. On 27 June 2017 the UCI expanded the World Cup to five events by adding Minsk, Belarus to the schedule for a round to take place in 2018. Pruszków ( yi, פּרושקאָוו) is a city in east-central Poland, situated in the Masovian Voivodeship since 1999. It was previously in Warszawa Voivodeship (1975–1998).
