Fox Sports News (Australia)
Fox Sports News is an Australian cable and satellite sports news channel, owned by Fox Sports Pty Limited (formerly Premier Media Group) and is the sister channel of Fox Sports. Fox Sports News launched on 1 October 2006. Initially, for 6 hours a day (midnight6am AEST) the channel would simulcast Sky Sports News, similar to the set-up of Australian News channel Sky News Australia. It was later replaced by a continuous loop of different newscasts broadcast that day. On 5 March 2013 at Fox Sports new headquarters launch in Artarmon, New South Wales, among the announcements relating to Fox Sports was the new logo of Fox Sports and Fox Sports News which is in line with its global affiliate broadcasters. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. Sky Sports News (SSN) is a British pay television, paid television sports news channel run by Sky Limited, Sky, a division of Comcast. History Since 1992, Sky Sports had broadcast sports news, initially a brief ''Football Update'' and later this was expanded into a 30-minute programme called ''Sky Sports Centre''. These programmes were generally broadcast on weekdays at 6pm and 10pm. Sky Sports News launched on 1 October 1998, the launch date of BSkyB's Digital Satellite service, and was BSkyB's first digital only channel. On 10 April 2000, Sky Sports News relaunched as Sky Sports.com TV, to tie with the launch of the SkySports.com website. Chris Warren (rugby League)
Chris Warren (born 1 September 1970) is an Australian television presenter/producer and former professional rugby league footballer. He is a son of sports commentator Ray Warren. Early years Warren was born in Sydney, attended Marist Brothers Parramatta and later earned a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in marketing. Playing career Warren was a Parramatta junior and played in their winning SG Ball side of 1986. He also captained NSW CCC at under 15 and Open ages but missed out on making the Australian Schoolboys side in 1988, although he did win the Commonwealth Bank Cup with Parramatta Marist. Warren played seven seasons in the NSWRL and ARL after making his debut for Western Suburbs Magpies in 1990. Matt Shirvington (born 25 October 1978) is an Australian athlete and television presenter who held the Australian 100m national sprint title from 1998 to 2002. Shirvington is the third fastest Australian sprinter of all time. He qualified for the 100m semi-finals in Sydney 2000, finishing 5th. Ryan Phelan is an Australian television journalist, media personality and presenter. Phelan has previously presented news updates on ''The Morning Show'' and was co-host of ''The Daily Edition''. Leith Mulligan (born 1 July 1972 in South Australia) is an Australian sports journalist. Career In 1989, aged 16, Mulligan joined Channel 8 in Mount Gambier as a junior sports reporter. Over the next six years he worked at WIN TV in Shepparton and Wollongong. In 1995, Leith joined ''Ten News'' in Sydney as a sports reporter.
