Founding Parliament Of The Turkish Republic Of Northern Cyprus
This is a list of Member of Parliament, members of Parliament (MPs) elected or assigned to the Assembly of the Republic (Northern Cyprus), Founding Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. 40 elected members of the founding assembly were coming from the Turkish Federated State of Cyprus, Federated Assembly as the base members. These members were elected at the Northern Cyprus parliamentary election, 1981, 1981 parliamentary election, which was held on 28 June 1981. 30 other members were assigned by the President of Northern Cyprus, Presidency, various political parties, non-governmental organisations, trade unions, chamber of industry, chamber of commerce and the bar association. Fazıl Küçük also assigned one member by himself. The representative members were regarded as independent unless stated otherwise. Nejat Konuk
Osman Nejat Konuk (1928 – 31 December 2014) was a 2nd prime minister of Northern Cyprus, He held this office twice, once from 1976 to 1978 and a second time from 1983 to 1985. Early life, career and death Born in 1928 in Nicosia, Cyprus, Osman Nejat Konuk completed his primary and secondary education in Nicosia. In 1951, he graduated with a degree in Law from the Ankara Faculty of Law, Turkey. Following his graduation he worked in Turkey in the public sector as legal advisor (Bursa Forestry Department. Özker Özgür
Özker Özgür was a leading Turkish-Cypriot politician. Özgür, whose last name means "free" was born in 1940 in the village of Vretça, Paphos District, Cyprus. During 1961–1975 he worked as a secondary school English teacher on the island. With the votes of the teachers, he was elected to the founding parliament of the Turkish Federated State of Cyprus in 1975.
