Founders League
The Founders League is an American athletic league comprising a number of college preparatory schools. Founded in 1984, it consists of ten schools in Connecticut and one from eastern New York. All of the schools in the Conference are founding members. The New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) is an organization that serves as the governing body for sports in preparatory schools and leagues in New England. The organization has 169 full member schools as well as 24 associate member schools. The associate member schools are from New England as well as outside the region, including Indiana, New Jersey, New York, and Ontario. The organization is headquartered in Maine. History Although the relationships and rivalries between many of these schools began long before the 20th century, the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council was officially founded in 1942 as an organization of athletic directors from preparatory schools in New England also with two members from Lower Canada. Pawling (town), New York
Pawling is a town in Dutchess County, New York, United States. Its population was 8,012 at the 2020 census. The town is named after Catherine Pauling, the daughter of Henry Beekman, who held the second largest land patent in the county. A misprint caused the U to change to a W and the name stuck. Trinity-Pawling School, founded in 1907, is an independent college and preparatory boarding school for boys from 7th grade to 12th grade. The 230 acre campus is situated in Pawling, New York, a small hamlet in southern Dutchess County. It is located 60 miles north of New York City. History Trinity-Pawling School was founded in 1907 by Frederick Luther Gamage, who had previously been headmaster of St. Paul's School. The first school building was Dutcher House, a building which had previously functioned as a hotel. The Taft School
The Taft School is a private, coeducational school located in Watertown, Connecticut, United States. It teaches students in 9th through 12th grades and post-graduates. About three-quarters of Taft's roughly 600 students live on the school's campus. The Taft School was founded in 1890 by Horace Dutton Taft, brother of President William Howard Taft.
