''Found Footage 3D'' is a 2016 American found footage horror film. It is the debut feature film of writer/director Steven DeGennaro, and was produced by ''Texas Chainsaw Massacre'' co-creator Kim Henkel. It is the first found footage horror movie shot natively in 3D. Filming began on May 26, 2014 in Gonzales, Texas, starring Carter Roy, Alena von Stroheim, Chris O'Brien, Tom Saporito, Scott Allen Perry, Jessica Perrin, and Scott Weinberg, and wrapped mid-June 2014. The film's trailer debuted on Entertainment Weekly August 10, 2016. The film premiered at Bruce Campbell's Horror Film Festival on August 20, 2016, where it won the festival's inaugural jury award. Kim Henkel
Kim David Henkel (born January 19, 1946) is an American screenwriter, director, producer, and actor. He is best known as the co-writer of Tobe Hooper's horror film ''The Texas Chain Saw Massacre''. Early life Henkel was born in Virginia and grew up in several small towns in South Texas. ''Scream'' is a 1996 American slasher film directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson. Austin Film Festival (AFF), founded in 1994, is an organization in Austin, Texas, that focuses on writers’ creative contributions to film. Initially, AFF was called the Austin Heart of Film Screenwriters Conference and functioned to launch the careers of screenwriters, who historically have been underrepresented within the film industry. AFF is known for its annual October Austin Film Festival & Conference. The Conference was the first event of its kind, bringing professional and amateur screenwriters together to celebrate the role of screenplays in filmmaking and host conversations focusing on craft and on particular films and television series.
