Forterra
Forterra (formerly Cascade Land Conservancy), based in Seattle, Washington, US, is the state of Washington’s largest land conservation, stewardship and community building organization dedicated solely to the region. Currently, Forterra operates in multiple counties. Principal offices are in Seattle, Roslyn, and Tacoma. Accomplishments Forterra has conserved of working farms, forestlands and natural areas to date. Some of the major conservation projects include Saddle Swamp, Maury Island Marine Park and Snoqualmie Tree Farm. In December 2016, Forterra acquired 376 acres of forest near the North and Middle Forks of the Snoqualmie River, jointly with Washington’s Department of Natural Resources. Roslyn, Washington
Roslyn is a city in Kittitas County, Washington, United States. The population was 893 at the 2010 census. Roslyn is located in the Cascade Mountains, about 80 miles east of Seattle. The town was founded in 1886 as a coal mining company town. During the 20th century, the town gradually transitioned away from coal, and today its economy is primarily based on forestry and tourism. Snoqualmie River
The Snoqualmie River is a long river in King County and Snohomish County in the U.S. state of Washington. The river's three main tributaries are the North, Middle, and South Forks, which drain the west side of the Cascade Mountains near the town of North Bend and join near the town of Snoqualmie just above the Snoqualmie Falls. After the falls the river flows north through rich farmland and the towns of Fall City, Carnation, and Duvall before meeting the Skykomish River to form the Snohomish River near Monroe. The Snohomish River empties into Puget Sound at Everett. Everett is the county seat and largest city of Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It is north of Seattle and is one of the main cities in the metropolitan area and the Puget Sound region.
