Forsyth Country Day School (FCDS) is a coeducational private day school located in Lewisville, North Carolina. FCDS was established in 1970. Accreditation FCDS is accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Blake Russell
Blake Russell (née Phillips; born July 24, 1975) is an American long-distance runner who represented her country at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. After finishing third in the marathon at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, she went on to finish 27th in the Olympic marathon in Beijing. She was the only American woman to finish the Beijing Olympic Marathon. She is a many time USA National Champion in Cross Country and the USA Road Racing Circuit over various distances. Thomas Wells Thompson (born November 25, 1983 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina) is a retired American soccer player who last played as a midfielder for Carolina RailHawks in the North American Soccer League (NASL). Career High school and College Thompson attended R.J. Reynolds High School, Forsyth Country Day School (aka, FCDS), and the Family Foundation School. He earned an All-North Carolina first team selection as a junior and senior as well as an all-conference and all-region selection. After graduating from FCDS, he attended Wake Forest University where he played college soccer for four years. Richmond Kickers is an American professional soccer club based in Richmond, Virginia. The Kickers compete as a member of USL League One (USL-1). The club was established in 1993, and began play that same year as a United States Interregional Soccer League (now USL League Two) expansion team, which at the time, was the fourth tier of soccer in the United States. Matt Spear
Matthew Spear (born December 2, 1970 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina) is an American former soccer coach who is currently the President of the Richmond Kickers. Spear attended Davidson College where he was a four-year starter (1988–1992) on the men's soccer team. He was captain of the 1992 squad that won the Southern Conference championship. In 1993, Spear became an assistant coach at Davidson, moving up to head coach in 2000 when longtime head coach Charlie Slagle retired. In 2003, he took the Wildcats to a 15–6–2 record and an NCAA post-season berth. He was a Southern Conference Coach of the Year and has compiled an 85–84–11 record.
