Formula 4 Italian Championship
Italian Formula 4 Championship is the first formula racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations. The inaugural season was the 2014 Italian F4 Championship, effectively replacing the Formula Abarth. History Gerhard Berger and the FIA Singleseater Commission launched the FIA Formula 4 in March 2013. The goal of the Formula 4 is to make the ladder to Formula 1 more transparent. Besides sporting and technical regulations, costs are regulated too. A car to compete in this category may not exceed €30,000 in purchase. A single season in Formula 4 may not exceed €100,000 in costs. The Italian Formula 4 was the first FIA Formula 4 championship to be launched. The Italian championship was launched by the ACI-CSAI on December 12, 2013. WSK Promotions, well known for its kart races in the WSK Euro Series e.a., was contracted to promote the championship. Jenzer Motorsport
Jenzer Motorsport is an auto racing team based in Switzerland. Founded in 1993 by Andreas Jenzer the team is currently competing in FIA Formula 3, Italian F4 and F4 Spanish and has had a number of drivers who would turn out to be successful in motorsport, most notably Formula 1 driver Yuki Tsunoda. History In 1993, Jenzer Motorsport was founded by Andreas Jenzer, who was a racing driver and raced in his own team in the German Formula Ford 1800 Championship. Marcos Siebert
Marcos Siebert (born 16 March 1996 in Mar del Plata) is an Argentine racing driver. He was the Italian F4 champion for the 2016 season. Career Karting Born in Mar del Plata, Siebert began karting in 2004 at the age of eight, his highlights of his karting career being a second and third at the 2005 and 2006 editions of the Promocional karting events. Lower Formulae Siebert graduated to single-seaters in 2011, spending two seasons in Formula Metropolitan, finishing 12th in the 2012 season. The following year, Siebert moved to the Formula Renault 2.0 series with Jenzer Motorsport, finishing 24th in both that year's editions of the Eurocup and Alps series. 2016 Italian F4 Championship
The 2016 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth was the third season of the Italian F4 Championship. It began on 9 April in Misano and finished on 30 October in Monza after seven triple header rounds. Teams and drivers Race calendar The calendar was published on 23 November 2015. Due to the large number of entries for the season, the race format was radically changed. Drivers were placed in three groups (A, B and C) depending on their qualifying placement. Each group contested two qualifying races, facing one of the other groups in each race. After the three qualifying races, the 36 (32 in Adria) drivers having scored the most points contested the final race. All four races were 25 minutes plus one lap in length and yield the same number of points. After the number of entries declined from 41 to 31 for the second round, the series reverted to the classical three-race format used in 2015 from the third round onwards. Ralf Aron (born 21 March 1998) is an Estonian former racing driver, who competed in the Italian F4 Championship, ADAC Formula 4 and European Formula 3 championships for Prema Powerteam and Hitech GP. In a motorsports race, the pole position is usually the best and "statistically the most advantageous" starting position on the track. The pole position is usually earned by the driver with the best qualifying times in the trials before the race. The number-one qualifying driver is also referred to as the pole-sitter. Horsepower
Horsepower (hp) is a unit of measurement of power, or the rate at which work is done, usually in reference to the output of engines or motors. There are many different standards and types of horsepower. Two common definitions used today are the mechanical horsepower (or imperial horsepower), which is about 745.7 watts, and the metric horsepower, which is approximately 735.5 watts.
