Forge (comics)
Forge is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most commonly in association with the X-Men. A mutant with an unsurpassed brilliance in technology, he has had a lengthy career as a government weapons contractor. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Romita Jr., Forge first appeared in ''The Uncanny X-Men'' #184 (Aug. 1984). Forge shared a romantic relationship with Storm and a brief affair with Mystique, which led him to associate with the X-Men and thus enhancing the technology at the X-Mansion. He was also a member of X-Factor. Publication history Forge was created by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Romita Jr. His first appearance was in ''The Uncanny X-Men'' #184 (Aug. 1984). Claremont's outline for the character's debut includes a real name of Forge, Daniel Lone Eagle, although the character was not named in Marvel canon. Steve Lightle
Steve Lightle (November 19, 1959 – January 8, 2021) was an American comics artist who worked primarily as a penciller. He was best known as the artist of DC Comics' '' Legion of Super-Heroes'' and ''Doom Patrol'' titles. Biography Steve Lightle attended the Johnson County Community College in the Kansas City metropolitan area. His first professional comic book work was a five-page story in ''Black Diamond'' #4 (Feb. 1984) published by AC Comics. He followed this with his debut at DC Comics, drawing a 10-page story in ''New Talent Showcase'' #4 (April 1984), a series intended to provide work for up-and-coming artists who did not have a regular assignment. In 1984, Lightle followed Keith Giffen as the penciller of '' Legion of Super-Heroes''. Lightle described it as being a "dream assignment" to work on the title. Marvel Now! (stylized as Marvel NOW!) is a comic book branding for the relaunch of several ongoing comic books published by Marvel Comics, that debuted in October 2012 with new #1 issues. The relaunch also included some new titles, including ''Uncanny Avengers'' and ''All-New X-Men''. Described as a shifting of the Marvel Universe following the conclusion of the " Avengers vs. X-Men" storyline, Marvel Now! entailed changes to both the publishing format and the universe to attract new readers. Publishing changes included new creative teams for each of the titles and the in-universe changes included changes to character designs and new storylines. The Adversary is a fictional character, a demonic supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The Adversary first appeared in ''Uncanny X-Men'' #187-188 (November-December 1984), and was created by Chris Claremont and John Romita Jr. Fictional character biography The Adversary is a demon who was initially summoned by the X-Men member Forge several decades ago and has since come back to antagonize the X-Men and threaten the entire world.
