Forever By Your Side (song)
"Forever by Your Side" is a romantic song written and produced by the American songwriters and music producers Marc Blatte and Larry Gottlieb. The song was recorded in 1983 by popular American R&B vocal group The Manhattans and released the same year on the album '' Forever by Your Side''. The title track "Forever by Your Side" was released as a single in September 1983, and had moderate success in the US, peaking at number 30 on the R&B chart, but did not reach any position on the Billboard Hot 100. In contrast to the small American reception, "Forever by Your Side" was a big hit in Brazil. The Manhattans are an American popular R&B vocal group. Their work "Kiss and Say Goodbye", recorded in 1976, and 1980's " Shining Star", both sold millions of copies. The Manhattans have recorded 45 hits on the ''Billboard'' R&B Chart, including twelve top-10 R&B hits in the United States, starting in 1965. Sue Evans (born July 7, 1951) is an American jazz, pop, classical, and studio percussionist and drummer. Career She was born in New York, New York, United States. Evans played piano, violin and clarinet as a young child before switching to drums. She studied under Warren Smith and Sonny Igoe, and graduated in 1969 from The High School of Music & Art. Later, Evans earned a BA in Music from Columbia University, as well as a Master of Music and Doctorate from the Juilliard School. Evans soon became one of the top recording percussionists in New York, recording jingles, movie scores, and numerous albums with many jazz, folk and pop artists. Ralph Schuckett (March 2, 1948 – April 4, 2021) was an American keyboardist, composer and songwriter known as one of the founding members of Todd Rundgren's band Utopia. He composed for film and television, including Pokémon, Sonic X, and Another World, and has done session work and played live for many acts, most notably Carole King, appearing on her '' Writer'', '' Tapestry'' and '' Music'' albums.
