Forever By Your Side (album)
''Forever by Your Side'' is the 13th studio album of American popular R&B vocal group the Manhattans, originally released in 1983 by Columbia Records. The album was recorded at Celestial Sound Studios (New York, NY), Studio Sound Recorders (North Hollywood), Universal Recording Studio (Chicago, III) and produced by George Tobin Productions Inc, Leo Graham Enterprises, Mighty M. Productions Ltd. This album brought the two singles by The Manhattans of 1983: the song "Crazy" and the title track " Forever by Your Side". The ballad "Crazy" was the big hit of this album, peaked at #4 on the R&B chart. The love song " Forever by Your Side" had moderate success in the United States, peaked at #30 on the R&B chart, but has become a great success and a romantic classic in Brazil two years later, when she was part of the soundtrack of a soap opera in the country in 1985. The Manhattans
The Manhattans are an American popular R&B vocal group. Their work "Kiss and Say Goodbye", recorded in 1976, and 1980's " Shining Star", both sold millions of copies. The Manhattans have recorded 45 hits on the ''Billboard'' R&B Chart, including twelve top-10 R&B hits in the United States, starting in 1965. Sixteen of their songs have reached the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, including two top 10s and a number-one hit with their song "Kiss and Say Goodbye". They also charted eight U.S. R&B top 20 Albums, three of which were RIAA certified gold. Lawrence Bennett Gottlieb (born June 10, 1951, Jackson Heights, New York, United States) is an American songwriter. Gottlieb has penned songs for Trisha Yearwood, Kim Richey and Kevin Montgomery, as well as penning Blue Öyster Cult's " Dancin' in the Ruins" with Jason Scanlon. The song came to BÖC through the publisher, and was recorded for "Club Ninja." Sue Evans
Sue Evans (born July 7, 1951) is an American jazz, pop, classical, and studio percussionist and drummer. Career She was born in New York, New York, United States. Evans played piano, violin and clarinet as a young child before switching to drums. She studied under Warren Smith and Sonny Igoe, and graduated in 1969 from The High School of Music & Art. Later, Evans earned a BA in Music from Columbia University, as well as a Master of Music and Doctorate from the Juilliard School. Evans soon became one of the top recording percussionists in New York, recording jingles, movie scores, and numerous albums with many jazz, folk and pop artists. She was Judy Collins's touring drummer from 1969 to 1973 and worked with Gil Evans from 1969 to 1982.
