Forever Yours (Luv' Album)
''Forever Yours'' is the fourth album by Dutch girl group Luv', released in November 1980 by the labels CNR/Carrere Records. It includes the hit singles " One More Little Kissie", "My Number One" and "Tingalingaling". This opus features a new group's member Ria Thielsch who replaced Patty Brard. It was Luv''s last record to benefit from a real international release in more than thirty countries. In 2006, this LP has been reissued in digitally remastered form by Universal Music Netherlands as part of the ''Completely in Luv''' box set. Background In the summer of 1980, Patty Brard suddenly left Luv' as the trio was promoting the One More Little Kissie single. This defection had bad consequences as new material had already been written for a next album. José Hoebee
Josina van de Wijdeven (born 29 March 1954), known as José Hoebee, is a Dutch pop singer. She was a member of Luv', a famous Dutch girl group in the late 1970s and early 1980s that scored hits in more than 15 countries. In late 1981, she went solo and was successful in her homeland and in the Flanders region of Belgium between 1982 and 1985. She formed a duo known as Bonnie & José with Bonnie St. Claire to record Dutch cover versions of ABBA's songs. Luv' went through line-up changes and reunited several times. On 7 February 2020 the group's management announced that Luv' would stop all their activities due to José's ill health. "Trojan Horse" is the fifth single by the Dutch girl group Luv', released in autumn 1978 by Philips Records, Philips/Phonogram Records. This million-seller appears on some editions of the group's debut album, With Luv' (1978), and was a successful hit record in a large part of continental Europe, Israel, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Argentina and New Zealand. It was a minor hit in Australia and Canada. The single was remixed in 2006, 2015 and 2022. Background This song is the follow-up single to "You're the Greatest Lover" and uses a bagpipe theme. "Megamix '93" is the twenty sixth single by Dutch girl group Luv' released in 1993 by Arcade Records. This Megamix (produced by Dancability) is the comeback record of the original group (Patty Brard, José Hoebee and Marga Scheide) since their 1980 single One More Little Kissie. It appears on the compilation Luv' Gold. The long version of this medley is included as a bonus track on the Box set Completely In Luv'. Song history Inspired by the success of the ABBA and Boney M Gold compilations, the original Luv' formation reunited in the spring of 1993, after several line-up changes (with ( Marga Scheide being the only member to stay constantly in the group). "You're the Greatest Lover" is a single by the Dutch girl group Luv'. It was first released in July 1978 by Philips/Phonogram Records. It appears on the 1978 debut album With Luv' and on compilations (Luv' Gold, 25 Jaar Na Waldolala, Completely In Luv'...). It is the group's international breakthrough as it was successful in a large part of Continental Europe, Israel and South Africa. Luv' reached its peak with this million-seller. ''True Luv is the third album by Dutch girl group Luv', released in December 1979 by CNR/Carrere Records. It includes the hit singles "Ooh, Yes I Do" and "Ann-Maria (song), Ann-Maria" scored in the charts of European countries and also in a new territory: Mexico. In 1980, Luv's record company decided to re-issue the album by changing the track listing. Piet Souer
Pieter Cornelis "Piet" Souer (born 29 March 1948, Eindhoven) is a Dutch record producer, songwriter and arranger. His collaboration with acts (such as Luv', Mouth & MacNeal, Liesbeth List, Ramses Shaffy, American Gypsy, and Champagne) made him gain twenty two gold and platinum records', one Conamus Export Prize and one 'Outstanding Song Award', thanks to his composition "Too Young To Know", performed by Anita Meyer at World Popular Song Festival in Japan in 1981. Debut Piet Souer (a guitar and keyboard player) started his career as a member of The Valiants, a rock band from Eindhoven. Exotica is a musical genre, named after the 1957 Martin Denny album of the same name that was popular during the 1950s to mid-1960s with Americans who came of age during World War II. The term was coined by Simon "Si" Waronker, Liberty Records co-founder board chairman. The musical colloquialism ''exotica'' means tropical ersatz, the non-native, pseudo experience of insular Oceania, Southeast Asia, Hawaii, the Amazon basin, the Andes, the Caribbean and tribal Africa.
