Forever Tarkovsky Club is a Hong Kong-based indie band made up of Ah P (My Little Airport) and Ho Shan ( Pixeltoy). Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Zoo Records
Zoo Records was a British independent record label formed by Bill Drummond and David Balfe in 1978. Zoo was launched to release the work of the perennially struggling Liverpool band Big in Japan (the label's first release being the ''From Y To Z and Never Again'' EP). The label also released two singles by Lori and the Chameleons, a Balfe and Drummond band which they formed after Big in Japan folded. Zoo Records went on to release early work from The Teardrop Explodes and Echo & the Bunnymen. The label also released the first single, "Iggy Pop's Jacket", by the Liverpool band Those Naughty Lumps. My Little Airport
My Little Airport is a Hong Kong-based indie pop band. Their English lyrics are marked by spelling, grammar, and rhythm inflected by Hong Kong English. The band's lyrics and music are written by Ah P (Lam Pang) and sung by Nicole (Nicole Au Kin-ying). The duo occasionally invite friends (Ah Suet, who speaks French, for instance) and relatives (Nicole's younger sister) to participate in their albums and shows. They established Harbour Records with four other indie bands from Hong Kong, and on it released their 2004 debut album '' The OK Thing to Do on Sunday Afternoon Is to Toddle in the Zoo''. In 2006 they joined Elefant Records, hoping to gain distribution beyond Hong Kong's small indie fanbase. Christina Chan (born 25 April 1987) is a political activist in Hong Kong, known for her stand on human rights in Hong Kong, human rights, democratisation in Hong Kong, democracy and Tibetan independence. She is enrolled in a premaster's degree in philosophy in the University of Hong Kong. Early life Christina was born in Hong Kong, where she attended the True Light Girls' College. She went on to study at Warminster School and Bromsgrove School in the United Kingdom for her secondary education. Afterwards, she returned to Hong Kong and obtained an associate degree in social science in Hong Kong Baptist University and the City University of Hong Kong before studying English studies, English and philosophy at the University of Hong Kong, where she was conferred a bachelor's degree with first-class honours in June 2008. Melodica
The melodica is a handheld free-reed instrument similar to a pump organ or harmonica. It features a musical keyboard on top, and is played by blowing air through a mouthpiece that fits into a hole in the side of the instrument. The keyboard usually covers two or three octaves. Yau Ma Tei is an area in the Yau Tsim Mong District in the south of the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong. Name ''Yau Ma Tei'' is a phonetic transliteration of the name (originally written as ) in Cantonese. It can also be spelt as Yaumatei, Yau Ma Ti, Yaumati or Yau-ma-Tee.
