Forente Artister
Forente Artister (English: United Artists) was a group of Norwegian artists that went together in 1985 to record the song ''Sammen for livet'' (English: ''Together for Life'') in order to raise money for the victims of hunger in Africa. The lyrics were written by Halvdan Sivertsen and the melody by Åge Aleksandersen. This project was inspired by Band Aid and Forente Artister was thus part of a large humanitarian initiative. The project resulted in an album which in addition to ''Sammen for livet'' also consisted of several newly recorded songs by some of the participators. The song and the project received a special award in the Spellemannsprisen 1985 (The Norwegian equivalent to Grammy awards). Susanne Fuhr
Susanne Fuhr (born 13 June 1953) is a Norwegian jazz vocalist, cabaret artist and actor, known from her own S.F. Band in the 1970s. Biography Fuhr was born in Oslo. The first edition of her Band comprised guitarist Bent Patey, pianist Rune Klakegg, bassist Åge Røthe and drummer Bjørn Jenssen, but the breakthrough was with the next edition which consisted of keyboarder Brynjulf Blix, saxophonist Arne Frang, bassist and guitarist Sveinung Hovensjø and drummer Svein Christiansen at the 1979 Moldejazz. Lage Fosheim
Lage Fosheim (5 February 1958 in Bestum, Oslo – 19 October 2013 in Nice, France) was a Norwegian record promoter and musician, best known for his time in the popular pop duo the Monroes. He was the brother of the actress Minken Fosheim. Biography The Monroes were one of the biggest Norwegian pop successes in the 1980s. "Sunday People" and "Cheerio" were number one at VG-lista for a long period of time and they are still heard on the radio, 30 years after the album was released. In 1983 The Monroes received an award for the best pop album and were named the musicians of the year during the '' Spellemannprisen''. After retiring as a pop musician, Fosheim worked from 1995 to 2008 as promo director at Universal Music (former PolyGram). Sidsel Endresen (born 19 June 1952) is a Norwegian singer, composer, and actress. She was part of the Jon Eberson group. Since 1987, Endresen has pursued a successful solo career, recording for ECM. Career Endresen was one of the most pronounced female jazz musicians in Norway in the beginning of the 21st century. She is a versatile artist, who likes to challenge her voice with new experimental forms and combination of jazz and other artistic expressions. Jan Eggum
Jan Eggum (born 8 December 1951) is a Norwegian singer-songwriter. He has been characterized as a "face for the melancholy", and the themes in his songs are often broken hearts, loneliness, and sorrow. Sometimes his lyrics include social criticism, but he also shows trivial and funny sides of himself. Career Eggum was born in Bergen, but started as a pub singer in London, and made his living for two years writing songs in English.
