''Forensic Heroes'' (Traditional Chinese: 法證先鋒) is a TVB modern suspense series broadcast in June 2006 starring Bobby Au-Yeung, Frankie Lam, Yoyo Mung, Linda Chung, Raymond Cho & Florence Kwok in the first installment of the '' Forensic Heroes series''. A direct sequel, ''Forensic Heroes II'' ( 法證先鋒II) was produced and broadcast in 2008 with the same cast, alongside Kevin Cheng and Charmaine Sheh. Two additional indirect sequels were released in 2011 and 2020 with a new cast, and a fifth installment is in development as of 2022. In 2022, the drama was selected as one of the ten classic TVB dramas being honored for a new joint Youku and TVB program. Synopsis The plot for ''Forensic Heroes'' contains a mixture of various themes. Police Procedural
The police show, or police crime drama, is a subgenre of procedural drama and detective fiction that emphasizes the investigative procedure of a police officer or department as the protagonist(s), as contrasted with other genres that focus on either a private detective, an amateur investigator or the characters who are the targets of investigations. While many police procedurals conceal the criminal's identity until the crime is solved in the narrative climax (the so-called whodunit), others reveal the perpetrator's identity to the audience early in the narrative, making it an inverted detective story. Charmaine Sheh
Charmaine Sheh Sze-man (; born 28 May 1975) is a Hong Kong actress. After winning second runner-up in the 1997 Miss Hong Kong pageant, Sheh signed a contract with TVB in 1998. She is best known for her roles in '' Return of the Cuckoo'' (2000), ''War and Beauty'' (2004), '' Maidens' Vow'' (2006), ''Forensic Heroes II'' (2008), '' Beyond the Realm of Conscience'' (2009), ''Can't Buy Me Love'' (2010), '' When Heaven Burns'' (2011), ''Line Walker'' (2014), and '' Story of Yanxi Palace'' (2018). Fred Cheng
Frederick "Fred" Cheng (; born 10 November 1983) is a Canadian-born Hong Kong musician and actor. He rose to fame after competing and winning the 2013 Hong Kong singing competition, Voice of the Stars''.'' He is currently signed to TVB management. Vivien Yeo (; born 20 July 1984) is a Malaysian Chinese actress and businesswoman.
