Foreign Minister
A foreign affairs minister or minister of foreign affairs (less commonly minister for foreign affairs) is generally a cabinet minister in charge of a state's foreign policy and relations. The formal title of the top official varies between countries. The foreign minister typically reports to the head of government (such as prime minister or president). Difference in titles In some nations, such as India, the foreign minister is referred to as the minister for external affairs; or others, such as Brazil and the states created from the former Soviet Union, call the position the minister of external relations. In the United States, the secretary of state is the member of the Cabinet who handles foreign relations. Other common titles may include minister of foreign relations. Demesvar Delorme
Demesvar Delorme (10 February 1831 – 25 December 1901) was a Haitian theoretician, writer, and politician. Born in Cap-Haïtien, he participated in Sylvain Salnave's failed rebellion against President Fabre Geffrard in 1865. After the fall of Geffrard and Salnave's election as President of Haiti in 1867, he was appointed Minister of External Relations and Minister of Public Education and Cults. In 1868, he was forced to leave the country and fled to Paris, France, where he lived in exile for ten years, publishing several works. One of his best known writings was the essay "Les Théoriciens au Pouvoir", which postulated that political power should belong to the intellectual elite. From 1891–1897, he was the first resident minister in Berlin with coacredition to the Holy See. Joseph Lamothe
Joseph Lamothe was the provisional President of Haiti from 26 July 1879 to 2 October 1879, when he was succeeded by Lysius Salomon. Following a stormy debate in the House of Representatives on 30 June 1879, there were riots in Port-au-Prince in which the Liberal leader Jean-Pierre Boyer-Bazelais exerted a significant role. Although the government eventually managed to restore law and order, President Pierre Théoma Boisrond-Canal Pierre Théoma Boisrond-Canal (12 June 1832 – 6 March 1905) was a Haitian politician who served as the President of Haiti three times. Boisrond-Canal was born 12 June 1832 in the town of Les Cayes, Haiti. He began a military career. Charles Haentjens
Charles Borromée Haentjens (born 27 November 1821 - 21 July 1874), was a Haitian diplomat and politician. Biography Haentjens was the son of a merchant named Charles Christian Haëntjens, whose family moved to Nantes. Charles Haentjens returned to Paris in diplomacy as the Secretary of the Legation of Haiti from 1859 to 1863, where he conducted business from 1863 to 1864. He was made State Secretary of Finance, Trade and External Relations of Haiti in 1871, then from 1873 to 1874. His son, Clément Haentjens also followed a diplomatic career and would be the State Secretary of Agriculture and Public Works.
