Ford Proctor
Jay Clifford Proctor IV (born December 4, 1996) is an American professional baseball catcher and infielder who is a free agent. He played college baseball at Rice University, and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the third round of the 2018 MLB draft. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants. Amateur career Proctor attended Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School in Beaumont, Texas. He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 40th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign. He played college baseball at Rice University. In 2016 for Rice he batted .336(9th in Conference USA)/.428/.471 in 223 at bats with 3 triples (6th) and 34 walks (7th), while nearly exclusively playing shortstop in the field. Catcher
Catcher is a Baseball positions, position in baseball and softball. When a Batter (baseball), batter takes their at bat, turn to hit, the catcher crouches behind home plate, in front of the (home plate, home) Umpire (baseball), umpire, and receives the ball from the pitcher. In addition to this primary duty, the catcher is also called upon to master many other skills in order to field the position well. The role of the catcher is similar to that of the wicket-keeper in cricket. Montgomery Biscuits
The Montgomery Biscuits are a Minor League Baseball team based in Montgomery, Alabama. They are the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and play in the Southern League. The team was founded in Orlando, Florida, in 1973 as the Orlando Twins, an affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. After remaining in the Minnesota minor league organization for 20 seasons, the team became an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs for four seasons and then the Seattle Mariners for one. The Australian Baseball League (ABL) is a professional baseball league in Australia. The league is governed by the Australian Baseball Federation (ABF). It uses the same name as a now-defunct competition held during the 1990s, and though it shares some history of the original league with the Claxton Shield awarded to winners of both competitions, it is considered to be a separate competition. The Perth Heat is a baseball team in the current Australian Baseball League and a foundation member of the Australian Baseball League. It is now the most successful team in ABL, winning 15 Claxton Shields. The Bowling Green Hot Rods are a Minor League Baseball team of the South Atlantic League and the High-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.
